Mary nodded; there had to be someone in this town to provide set material, and costumes. Now she regretted throwing those other ones for Shakespeare out.
"Hmm...well, I guess your estimation works, with Mr. Price as Elijah and Mr. Devalmont as Baal. They both certainly seem to have the required attitudes down."

Edward smiled.
"I think so too. It's amazing, how everything works out! And I think that young Gavroche fellow could be your son--perhaps both, if we need to."

She smiled back and stretched a little; she'd gotten a bit of a cramp from standing around before.
"Oh, it definitely is...this is going to be a great cast. And, well, yes, we can always cast one as both if necessary. Thank heavens for identical twins, huh?"

"Indeed!" Ed said happily. "Well! I'll get started on sets and supplies--anyone who wants to help, can!"

Mary nodded, and would have turned to go, except that she found herself too excited to simply go back to the hotel room and lie down. There had to be a way to keep occupied.
"Okay, great! Um, can I help somehow...?" she suggested, not knowing exactly how much of the actual heavy work she could take, exactly.
((Sorry about being away there.))

"Sure!" he said, touched by her dedication. "Look, I have sketches for sets."
He pulled out a sheaf of papers, and started spreading them on the floor.
"Want to go over them?"

The cameras were, after all, virtually all she had. She wanted to be around the sets at all times, if possible: it just reminded her of before.
"Okay, sure!" she replied back cheerily, setting them neatly in order and lying down to look at them, looking for all the world (considering her appearance) like she was reading the Sunday comics.

The two set to work, scribbling notes, making changes, and building the film in their minds.
"As to locations," Edward said, "I'm sure there are plenty of places in Paris that could stand in. And if we film at night, no one can bother us!"

Apparently, Mary was pretty talented at drawing, too--she'd just never really noticed, as her whole efforts had been bent toward acting.
"Uh-huh," she agreed cheerily, noting something down. "And that's even better, too, this should have a dark ambiance, don't you think?"

"Oh, yes," said Edward, delighted. "Don't you see the Old Testament as rather dark? Perhaps not physically, but in mood... Are there any ruins, in Paris?"

Mary nodded back, pleased, and examined her sketch. "Oh, absolutely. That's practically the whole point. Hmm...I think there are some ruins under the city, actually."

Ed beamed as she described the place.
"Can you imagine it with torches all around?" he breathed. "Like a pagan temple. It's perfect! We can start in a week--that'll give me enough time to get costumes and rehearse the cast. What do you say?"

Mary could, too, and could just see it as the perfect set. She grinned back, adjusted her hair, and nodded with a happy sigh. "That sounds reasonable; thanks, Ed. Thanks for making this possible..."

**NEW DAY**
Edward clapped his hands together, rubbing them. He'd been prowling through the unused opera sets--he'd found plenty to liven up the ruins Mary had mentioned, and gathered it all together. Filming would start soon--he didn't believe in rehearsal. Why ruin the instincts of an actor by playing something again and again? He wanted to capture that realism.
Yes, he was looking forward to this quite a bit.

((Oh, geez, I didn't even see this!))
Mary was already dressed up; she was getting her high spirits back once more, and looked just as pleased as Edward--which, she'd found, was often fairly hard to do. At the moment, she'd donned a pair of catty sunglasses and a nice new coat, and strolled onto the sets now, looking around.
"Looks like we're gonna be on schedule," she commented with a smile, "and everything's gonna be okay."
