"You were swell!" Edward said. "You all were. Just perfect!"
He looked at his assembled cast, oblivious to everything but his own optimism.
"Guys, I think this is gonna be one great picture!"

His enthusiasm was contagious; soon Mary was even more excited, rocking on her heels and glancing around the stage.
"That's just wonderful! I...I mean, this is the real big time again!" She almost cried in her excitement. "Um, now...do we still need anything?"

*It had gone well enough, Vincent supposed. It had been some time and he hadn't been able to truly prepare for the role, but...he would get better. He couldn't help but smile (though it made him look less eerie). He was back in the thick of things.*

"I think we're in great shape," Edward said. "Guys, I'll get your contact info and let you know." He'd already cast everyone, but he had to keep Mary happy, too. "Thanks for a swell reading!"

Mary merely nodded to them all, still beaming and now pacing back and forth. "Yes, thanks again, folks," she called happily, fingers playing with the pages of her script again as she picked it up. Oh, she wouldn't argue with the decisions.

*Vincent held back as the others mingled. He was reminded that he came here for a reason. And it was good contact information to give anyways. He spent some time looking through his copy of the script, trying to figure out if film really had changed so much. Perhaps it was an independent production.*

Ed noted that Mr. Price had stayed, and hurried over.
"Well, Mr. Price?" he said eagerly. "What do you think?"

"Generally, I like it." *Vincent smiled.* "Though I admit, it's been a while since I've worked in the business. It seems...different than it used to be."
*He tried to shake it off.*
"It's probably just me though."

*Christine read the script, refusing to let any of her doubts show on her face. After all, what did she know about movies? What would make a wonderful play could make a terrible movie, and for all she knew, vice versa.*
"If we need extras, I imagine I could persuade some of the ballet girls..and those people who were in your last production."

Edward smiled uncertainly at Vincent.
"Well I just know that with your involvement, it'll be even better," he assured him. "If you're interested, that is."

"Oh yes." *Vincent did his best to sound confident.* "I look forward to it." *He'd get back into the swing of things.*
"What...is the budget that you're working with?" *He asked gently, knowing it was a delicate subject.*

Ed beamed.
"Great!" he said excitedly. "As to budget, that's still being worked out; but there are plenty of backers available. Maybe you'd better tell me your fee."

*To be honest, Vincent had no idea what to expect with these sorts of Parisian productions. He put his hand supportively on Ed's shoulder.*
"Why don't we just work out the details when you know more." *He offered, though he thought it was rather odd to cast without a budget. But he did have other means, meager though they were.*

Mary had listened to the whole exchange, and looked around from Christine to Ed to Mr. Price, a somewhat nervous smile on her face as well.
"Well, if it helps, I've already said that I'll be providing some of the budget..."

*Vincent turned to the petite lady with a smile, ready to include her in the conversation.*
"I'm not worried." *He answered.* "I'm sure things will work out."
