So, now that it's coming to some kind of end, and we have the queen captured...
How will this all turn out?
I think we planned to have the rebels win, from the beginning. I know some of you have been discussing democratic rule, but Megan and I have been talking over an interesting solution.
What if we gave France to Austria? Like, the Austro-Hungarian empire, currently headed by Rudolf, soon to be joined by Rebecca? It would give us all a common government, and it's not like much would actually change. Except like, the currency.
What do you all (especially Sarah and Emily) think?

Well...wait, how would that count as freedom and independence winning, if it just became ruled by another country?

I have no actual idea, it's a half-baked plan that's mostly Megan's anyway.
I really don't care and I'm not sure Enj took into affect the actual possibility of them winning.

I guess as Leia's player, I'd feel like that was still losing.

Agreed. Plus, if we open things up to election, I think that gives us a lot to work with. It actually brings in the undead/demon rights thing again, if Wilkins calls on those "voters." I also had a thought that the Opera (as the center of this disordered little universe--I mean, an unusual number of portals seem to drop folks in there) could play a role in the election, as a place for fundraisers and rallies and such. Richard or Marie could even decide to run themselves, if they wanted to be sore losers.

And it'd be less them being ruled by them and more just them being added to the collection. It'd be like- oh, come on, this place is a fantasy. Fantasy needs royalty. And also shinies.

Constitutional monarchy?

That could work.

I like the constitutional monarchy idea. But you do know that this means that there will probably be tension between little tiny France and the great big empire.

I just feel like giving them a democratic government would be a little too boring and modern on here.

Plus... politics. Do we really want politics?
Almost nobody that was part of this revolution was actually French.
Oh, and Leia's a princess.

Um...wow. I actually have no idea how to respond to this. I'm literally thrown for a loop.

A democratic government... like a republic? Like what they supposedly had, or were aiming for? Especially if the candidates are both whack jobs. It's not like we would actually pass laws or anything, no more than Dick and Marie actually affected the populace in play.
I don't see it as any more "boring" than a monarchy. The British monarchy is the most boring thing on Earth.
Anyway, I should probably stay out of this, as none of my characters are actually involved.
