*It had taken her a while to amass the items, but Brandi assured herself it would be worth it. There had been some sort of purging. Perhaps it had to do with why Cry-Baby had gone. Perhaps it was the way back to him. And just maybe it could help with that Dracula thing too.
So now she sat in the middle of the circle she had made up in her room, objects surrounding her, a wooden spoon, a Harvey Dent campaign pin, a monocle on a silver chain, some handkerchiefs, and a couple of serious looking blades amongst them. Her eyes were shut and she breathed slowly. She'd find the channel. She had too.*

*Outside the inn, Dracula found himself along the tree line. He'd been hunting, of course, but had not expected to be here. It was risky, this soon. But he was drawn to it. Besides, what could they throw at him that he couldn't handle. He was frickin' Dracula.
He stepped into the lamplight outside the door before grasping the handle and walking inside. The place was rather homey, in its own way. Perhaps humans liked that. He couldn't really remember anymore. It did seem awfully quiet though, which he imagined was not a sign of good business. He began a slow, casual search downstairs.*

Raziel had taken upon himself to keep an eye on the inn and the grounds around it, feeling the need to do something while he and Brandi tried to puzzle out just what, exactly, Dracula was after. He could guess, but a guess could only take them so far.
On his next pass, he picked up a very familiar, and unwelcome, presence. Narrowing his eyes, he hurried into the inn, heading straight for the intruder.
Yes, it was who he thought it'd be.
"Just what do you think you're doing?"

"Considering a room." *Dracula answered nonchalantly.* "Isn't that what one does in an inn?"
*There was a cockiness about him, though it was pretty characteristic. No matter what the angel knew, the information was so rare, surely he didn't have all of it.*
"Don't look so surprised, Gabriel. I would have thought you would be expecting me. After all, I was invited."

He frowned, crossing his arms.
"I wonder who invited you. It definitely wasn't me."

"No, no." *Dracula agreed, shaking his head disapprovingly.*
"You never were one to respect the rules of hospitality."
*He glanced briefly to the ceiling before returning his eyes coolly to the angel.*
"But your lady...she's so much more..."
*He sought to savor the word.*
"...accommodating."

He stiffened, his expression turning darker at Dracula's wording.
"Don't lie. You've caused her enough trouble, she wouldn't ask you here."

*Dracula couldn't suppress his smirk (not that he would). His brow arched as he crossed his arms.*
"So certain are you? You know that she...is drawn to the darkness. Surely you've seen it before."
*He sighed, as though the conversation were a bit tedious and keeping him from something.*
"Why else should I be here? You don't think I long so for your company."

"The darkness...?"
A horrible feeling went through him, not liking the implications (or the things it conjured up in his mind).
"And how would you know so much about her? You're hardly friends."

"Not yet." *Dracula agreed with a hungry smile.*
"But...well, she'd have to be." *He stated plainly. It was true, if she was the one that would put the angel where he needed to be.*
"You've not seen it? That hint?" *He tsked softly.*
"Then perhaps I am not the only one who does not know here well." *He added cruelly.* "As well as we would like."

He narrowed his eyes. All of his findings had pointed to...
"I know who she is...was...has been. I also know that you won't let her be. That you insist on harming her."
That you keep taking the woman I love away from me.

"Harming her? Far from it." *Dracula seemed almost appalled by the assumption as he paced casually.*
"Though admittedly, I am down a few wives." *He reflected pensively.* "And I will need more children. The sooner, the better."
*He spun sharply to face Raziel, that smirk curling the corner of his mouth.* "She is drawn to the...'bad boy', as they say, no?"

Oh, this man was one piece of work.
"You know, I have to wonder just how many of your 'wives' actually wanted to be associtaed with you to begin with." he said, crossing his arms.
"And I don't know what you mean by that comment."

"They all come to me in time." *Dracula answered smoothly. Some just took longer to see the benefits than others. To his other remark, he shrugged idly.*
"She's not the type to be won by innocence. She needs something more to fuel the fire that she has in her."

It made him think first of Cry Baby, and then of himself. But neither he nor Cry Baby were anything like Dracula.
"All right, there's a difference between a bad boy and one who's just a bastard. And sad to say, Drac, you're the second one."
