*The scene looked simple enough, but Dracula wouldn't be fooled so easily. There was an electricity to the air, something...he couldn't put his finger on. He only knew that he wanted it. Without thought, he started forward towards her.*

*Brandi's eyes flew open, eyes flashing bright blue. In that moment, Dracula disappeared. He didn't combust, there wasn't a flash, just...wasn't there. Then Brandi slumped to the floor.*

Raziel had been about to follow Dracula when Brandi opened her eyes, and then he stood frozen by the doorway--first at the color change, and then...the vampire's disappearance.
When she slumped, he moved, running over to where she'd fallen.
"Brandi?" He called softly, picking her up. "Brandi..."
What was going on here?

*Brandi's eyes fluttered open, still eerily blue for a moment. But after a few blinks, they returned to green. Her hand alighted her head and she remained heavy in his arms. That was weird.*
"Uh...what..." *She winced, a serious migraine setting in.* "It's bright in here." *She frowned, squinting. There were only a few lamps on as it was.*

He set her down on the bed, sitting next to her.
"I'm not sure what happened, exactly...you were in a trance, and then opened your eyes and...Dracula was here one moment, and then he was gone...and then you fell."
He glanced around the room, which to his eyes was a bit dim.
"Are you all right? Do you need anything?"

*Mmm...bed was better. She squirmed a little to get comfy, then looked up to the angel through heavy lashes, still trying to minimize the light.*
"Dracula?" *She seemed surprised.* "That's weird. What did he want?" *She weakly waved away his offer for assistance, being pretty content where she was.*
"I mean, was there a fight?" *Leave those two alone and that seemed like a likely scenario.*

"OKay, but if you need anything later...let me know."
He grinned at the mention of Dracula, not a nice grin.
"Oh, he was here, all right. I'm sure he had trouble on the brain, but it was mostly kept to arguing, although he insisted on coming up here..."
He was eyeing her curiously now.
"But he didn't get very far before you made him disappear."

*Brandi's brow lifted, confusion plain in her expression.*
"I...what?" *She shook her head decisively.*
"I may be able to do some pretty weird things, but last I checked, I don't make people--vampires--disappear."
*It wasn't that she didn't believe Drac had vanished, she just wasn't ready to take the credit.*
"Maybe..." *She frowned as she tried to sort her way through it.*
"...it's a vampire thing?" *They had all sorts of powers, right?*

"I thought of that," he conceded. "But I know he was definitely not done here yet--he was aiming right for you when he just...disappeared."
More, Dracula had disappeared in a very undramatic fashion, something Raziel was sure he wouldn't have gone for. Vampires, particularly that one, liked being a bit theatrical.
"I, er, sensed that it was you."

*Her confusion remained.*
"I...I didn't mean to...do whatever." *Her face scrunched up as she tried to figure it out.*
"I mean, I didn't even know he was here. That is...I wasn't..."
Working on that particular problem.

"It's all right. I'm not even sure what happened, exactly, or where he ended up. But for the moment, he is out of our hair."

*Brandi smiled weakly and nodded.*
"Yeah, not too sure I'd want to deal with his crap at the moment." *She struggled to push herself up.*
"Didn't expect for that to kick my ass." *She winced and rubbed her temples. But it had been worth it. The experiment had given her hope, and that was a start.*

"No kidding." He muttered.
"How did it go? Did you make some progress?" He was genuinely curious about what she was up to--his own powers were quite different, and it was interesting to see what others might wield.

*Brandi shrugged disappointed, but at least she was sitting up by herself.*
"There's progress, I guess. If you call it that. I can...." *She closed her eyes, trying to explain it.* "...push further than I once could, pulling up random things but..."
*She frowned.* "Nothing that I've been able to do anything with."
*She inhaled, trying her best to straighten.*
"But I'll figure it out. Maybe I just...need more. To go deeper."
There has to be a way.

A part of him was worried, that something might go wrong (and with such powers, there was always a chance of that) but at the same time, he wanted to be of some kind of assitance to her.
"I...don't suppose I'd be of any help?"
