*Vianne sits on the great stone hearth in the dining hall, sipping a cup of tea in blule patterned china, gazing calmly into the fire. A small smile played about the corners of her mouth, but was offset by a general solemnity in her eyes which seemed ever-present.
Feeling tired By the fire The long day is over
The wind is gone Asleep at dawn The embers burn on
With no reprise The sun will rise The long day is over [/i]

Percy stood for a long moment and simply watched his beloved. She was so exquiste, she took his breath away.
"My lady," he called quietly.

*Vianne turned to see Sir Percy's tall figure in the doorway.* "Good evening, mon coeur," *she said in a low voice, her smile widening slightly.*

((Oh NO! My abilities to translate French are GONE! In its place is Latin, thus proving I am incapable of retaining two languages at once! Translate, PLEASE!))
His eyes softened as he went to her and bowed over her hand.
"Vianne," he said again, and every syllable in her name was a loving caress through his lips.

((My heart. Heck, I got it by running my endearments through babelfish.))
*Vianne's fingers tightened in Percy's and she stood from the hearth, brushing at the soot on her skirt with vague annoyance before drawing Percy towards a pair of chairs which faced the fire.* "Will you sit with me a while?"
((Crap. Why did no one tell me my icon looks like she's got a mean shiner on her right eye?))

((I am SUCH a moron.))
Percy gently held the chair for her, and then settled into his own.
"I would sit with you my entire life," he said gently.

"If only that were possible," *murmured Vianne with a bemused look.*

Percy reached out and took her hand, and gently knelt at her feet.
"Marry me," he said softly, "and you have the rest of your life to find out."

"No," *said Vianne solemnly.*
"We are active people--sitting for a lifetime would not suit us."
*She leaned towards him with a smile.*
"But I shall stand, walk, and fight by your side..."
*She took his face in her hands and kissed him on the lips with the passion she had thus far denied herself.*
"And you shall always be keeper of my heart."

((*sniffles* I love proposals. *gains control* Ahem.))
Percy rose, gently and pulled her into his arms, kissing her with the same maddening passion he had shown in the prison cell.
And this time it was far more real and more beautiful.
Gently he took her beautiful hand and slid the flawless diamond onto her tiny finger, then kissed it.
"I love you," he said gently.

*Vianne felt herself dissolve in his arms as he held her close.* "And I you," *she whispered, closing her eyes.*

((*squees* YES! They're finally HAPPY!))
Percy pressed his lips to her forehead and held his precious love tightly.
((*frowns* How did Lune and Bijan announce their wedding?))

((We can't elope. Percy's the wealthiest man in England, remember? And friends with the Prince of Wales. We absolutely cannot elope. I HATE society. Especially since this will be me, if I ever decide to get married.
Okay. Will check out the Manager's Office.
When do you want to get married?))
