Dan sat up up fully now, he didn't want to make too many sudden movements, anything that could cause another coughing fit. So he moved gently, but precisely.
He reached around to Adrian's hip again and dug his nails in.

"Why not?" Dan laughed and kissed his shoulder.

"I can't tell if I'm high or not-"

"You're high" Dan turned his legs to the side of the bed and smiled and "and I'm capitalizing on it."

Dan stood up and walked around to the other side of the bed where Adrian was sitting "Luckily there's no hangover so the morning you're only regret is feeling a little stupid."

Dan sat on the edge wearing shorts with a grin "Well what?." Adrian never looked better than when he was covered in water "I'm enjoying the view."

Adrian adjusted his swimming arm- which wasn't much of an arm at all, it ended in a paddle- and waited for Dan to emerge.

Dan came up a ways away and immediately smoothed his hair back. Turning he found Adrian and smiled, paddling toward him slowly.
The pool was quiet, except for the echo of the water against the walls. Something about it was strange, but Dan couldn't put his finger on it.

"Good God," Adrian said distractedly, lifting Dan's water-straightened hair from the back of his neck and staring at it.

Dan laughed "It's a gift and a curse."
