"A-freaking-men," László muttered, adding a bit more to his plate.

Treszka was about to respond in the positive as well when a thought that had never occurred to her before popped into her head.
With my powers, I could--
A thought that she quickly tried to squish down. That was an absurd thing to even consider. She was the daughter of Death, or one of them anyway, she couldn't just run off and play at catching bad guys.
She cleared her throat.
"Uh, yeah, totally. I mean, this city is a freaking mess and you could almost swear that we don't even have a government--" She was babbling, and she knew it.

Marie raised her eyebrow, Treszka's aura had changed and now Marie had to find out way.
She gave her friend a pointed look before cutting in "Yea, Paris is a mess, but London's not much better. S'more modern sure, but there are just as many vampires, just as many werewolves and more police. But there's nobody there to combat them you know? The police do what they can, but most of them end up hurt or worse."

"Hmm" John took a bite of food and nodded.

"Maybe they can hire an army of Van Helsings," he said, only partly joking.
"I mean, if they're really serious about it, they could put a call out to all the hunters out there, right?"

This time, László wasn't sure what Treszka meant, so he just shrugged.

Treszka colored a bit.
"Oh, uh, it's a tv show. It's got monsters and stuff but there's people that hunt them down. It's pretty cool."
It even featured Death as a character, which had weirded her out at first, until she reasoned that no one really "knew" Death, just of him.

"Oh right television, still not used to that one."

She kept forgetting that not everyone was on the same tech wavelength around here.
"Oh, yeah...sorry about that. I guess you could say folks like Van Helsing."

"Oh yes I've read that one" he smiled, then frowned.

Treszka nodded.
"Believe me, when it comes to this world-- 'truth is stranger than fiction'."
