Amras nodded respectfully and took the armor from her quite easily, years of carrying around a heavy pack on the road taught you alot on how to pack correctly for the maximum amount of space.
Amras being who he was barely noticed the change in color in her cheeks.

Quashing the questions she had about the demons Amala mentioned, Maya merely fell in line as she adjusted her own pack on her back. Her travelling requirements were pretty light, so she could easily take on more whenever it was required.

Waiting until everyone was ready, Amala nodded and pointed out a small animal trail leading away through the trees. "It'll be a bit cramped, but I know it will lead us away from here and to a more hospitable area. "

Zevran had smiled a bit too widely at Edie's slip, but didn't remark on it. He wouldn't admit it but Ailwen's 'try not to corrupt the innocent' lecture was actually starting to work. And Amras... it didn't seem so much like he was trying to be intimidating, more so that he was trying not to be awkward. It was kind of cute actually.
However he frowned quite hard at the pack hoarse. He did not simply get carried around. Injury or no injury, a Crow was expected to endure and rest when home is made. And if they were so injured as to be carried around, they couldn't expect to be comfortable considering the circumstances that they would be in. But everyone was already shouldering their stuff and he just knew any protests of his would either fall on deaf ears or be seen as ungrateful.
So he dealt with it with as much grace as could be expected. That is to say, with a surly look and an embarrassed and childlike huff as he grabbed the mule's reigns. "I hope you know," He said to Ailwen as he sat, speaking slowly, "that I hate this completely and honestly, and will be sure to remember this long into the future for when you get injured and don't wished to be fussed over."

((hey they don't have a cart, just a horse to carry their things around? a cart would not exactly be conducive to traveling through the woods and also ailwen was initially traveling alone so she wouldn't even have enough stuff for a whole cart. can i assume he's mad because everyone else is carrying his stuff and she's leading the horse around on a line rather than zev actually riding? and also that he's so hurt he needs help up?))
"I've traveled rougher terrain," she said to Amala. "Maya, if you could get the cooking supplies--"
To Zevran, she merely snipped, "just pretend you're a particularly handsome sack of potatoes." Now was no moment for vanity or pide. Though to be fair, he'd seen her injured, too--this last issue aside, she was neither friendly nor amenable to fussing when she was hurt. "You can even spoon-feed me broth," she conceded tartly after a moment.
((HARK grumpy!ailwen has returned to us--or, well, she's appeared to you at all. all this emotional turmoil is finally starting to get old and we finally get to see the usual ailwen, snippy and sarcastic and all about tough love))

((Oh sorry, thought I remembered reading something bout a cart, or that you were gonna throw him on top of the pack horse. Though healed as he is, right now he probably can just manage to walk for an extended period, but not carry anything heavy. Fixed it!))
"Potatoes?" Zevran commented, sounding to be on the brink of being offended, "Don't I at least qualify as a particularly handsome sack of apples?"
The moment he wasn't injured anymore he was going to go do something stupid. He wasn't quite sure what this stupid thing was yet, but he knew that he needed to go and do something stupid to make up for being a sack of apples.

Flashing Zevran a quick grin, Maya grabbed the cooking supplies. She knew the elf had to be feeling better if he was already in "witty repartee" mode.

((THEY'RE LIKE A WEIRD LITTLE FAMILY also we've got exactly one mage, warrior, and rogue in the party from Thedas and I enjoy the even-ness of that and it would make me happy if they were an actual in-game party also the party banter would be hilarious))
Ailwen rolled her eyes at him then turned to Amala.
"Ready when you are."
((I figure we should eventually move to a thread in Lorien?))
