*Destin looked up to the sweeping lines of the architecture, musing to himself about the fine organic qualities of elven design. It was certainly different than most of the places he normally traveled. Even during periods of strife, things always seemed more...peaceful here. Perhaps it was the stillness afforded by nature, blended so seamlessly with civilization.
What a funny word. In his experience, he'd found the larger the civilization, the less civil its people were. And now there were humans at the throne of an elven empire. It seemed off in a way, but that was hardly his purview. He was simply here to deliver the message. And what then? Who knew? Aside from the Powers That Be, of course. But they couldn't be troubled to give him a schedule with any sort of advance notice. Perhaps that would afford him some time to relax here, at least until his next appointment was scheduled.
As it was, Destin walked quietly through the grounds, having had no difficulties in entering the palace. The guards on constant vigilance did not seem to even note him as he passed by, his cloak whispering softly against his garments. His garb was in every way appropriate, obviously elven in nature. However, from his belt hung a pouch with foreign markings and he donned a few pieces of modest jewelry that were exotic upon closer inspection.
Not that anyone seemed to be inspecting him. Destin walked about slowly, appearing to be headed in no place in particular. The ones meant to find him would in time. He rubbed the small piece of parchment between his fingertips idly. He had done his part of the journey, arriving as he was meant to. Now it was up to the rest of them to uncover their destiny.*

With Edie now outfitted for their impromptu journey, the two elven girls quickly made their way through the castle, Amala stealthily keeping to shadows and sideways to make sure nobody saw them and guessed their purpose. They were nearing one of the exits when they reached the same hall that someone else was walking down.
Amala slowed, waiting for him to pass, but something in the air about him caused her to speak.
"Hello? Can I help you?"
He seemed...exotic, despite his familiar-looking clothes, and there was something she couldn't quite place or describe on his person that made her want to stop and see what he was about. Who was this?

Edie stepped behind Amala, the man caused her to feel terribly uncomfortable, he didn't seem like he fit here in the castle and she certain hadn't seen him before.
She resisted the urge to hold on to Amala.

She sees me. That's a good sign.
*Destin turned with an eerie grace to face both of the women. He came across with the strangest blend of appearing both innocuous and at the same time off-putting. His piercing green eyes found those of the dark-headed elf.*
"Perhaps it is I that can help you." *The words danced like silver from his tongue, a breathy undertone lining each word. ((Like Dracula in Dracula 2000 or when Leto II uses the voice in Children of Dune.)) His gaze held fixedly on hers, intense with underlying emotion while remaining aloof.*

((Ohh, sexy echoes.))
"You...can?" She found it hard to look away, and felt that she didn't really want to. This figure was mesmerizing, almost in that same way as the High Elves like Galadriel and Celeborn were.
"How?"

((I always found them so. )) "You..." *Destin continued easily, the words drifting effortlessly and invitingly towards her.* "...are planning a journey, no?" *His gaze burned in hers for a long moment before dipping to her companion's. The rest of his body was still as stone.* "One that will lead you far from this place." *It was more of a statement than question, though there was an echo of uncertainty in it.*

Her eyes widened a bit.
"Yes...we just prepared..."
She glanced back at Edie, then back at Destin.
"Please, what it is you know?"

*Destin's mouth froze for a long moment, his eyes going glassy. Lips parted a full breath before the words came, haunting and ethereal.*
"By sure hand and open heart All tyranny shall soon depart. From Lorien’s gates, those will pass Struck through with purpose, set to task. A circle of hands bound in cause Shall seek to uncover most sacred Laws. Carsomyr shall find the sun Taken up in innocence lest be undone. For the spirit tied to Gray Dwarves trapped alone, lest fall astray. Unlikely comrades joined as one Through blessed blade undo what must be done. Born in trial and forged in blood Falsehoods stripped away in righteous flood. Peoples united once more will bow Golden crown rests on one true brow."
*His lips shut once more and Destin stood in silence.*
((I hope it's ok. Poetry isn't my strong suit, but I tried to cover the points as I knew them. Just let me know if anything needs changing.))

((No worries! I love it. )) At first, she couldn't guess what he was doing. Then, as he recited, her expression change from confused to rapt and finally shocked and excited. Once he finished relaying the prophecy--as that is the only thing it could be--Amala turned to excitedly to Edie. "This is it! The sign I've been looking for!"

Edie was still staring at the man when Amala turned, still completely enraptured by his voice, his face.
"It's destiny."

*Destin did not stir at her excitement. Actually, he didn't seem to move at all as the companions spoke. But finally the moment ended and his haunting eyes matched those of the blonde's.*
"There are those that would call me that." *He breathed silkily. But truly, Destin was bad enough. Destiny just sounded rather pretentious. While his face remained still as ever, a hint of sadness suffused it, as if plague by a longing that would not be uttered.*

Amala turned back toward him, both excitement and wonder on her face.
"I don't know who you are, exactly, but...thank you. I've been searching for a long time now how to...to do what I needed to...but now I know."

And so I suppose I can have nothing left to offer.
*The hint of sadness was so brief, it would have been missed by the human eye. This was what he was, what he always had been and would remain. Destin held for a long moment, as if something should come after, but refused to do so.*

Amala had been about to bid him goodbye, but she paused a moment, as though sensing something.
"If you want, you can come with us to see how it all happens."
The prophecy did mention other people coming, after all...

*There was a flicker, something like hope that danced a moment in his eerie gaze. The corner of his mouth lifted at the thought, but both were quickly extinguished.*
"You will have all the aid you require." *Destin answered softly, but without remorse. It would be too much to ask, too much to hope for. But maybe...
Even as he stood motionlessly, another figure appeared behind him. Growing closer, Destin's features melted away, leaving only a tall, stocky man bearing gray eyes in his place.*
