"My lady." *Heldir gave a tight, respectful bow as the words slipped over his tongue in perfect elvish.*
"I come to serve the people of Lorien at the behest of Aragorn II Elessar."
*He stood formally, not knowing whom he should be directed to. His orders had not been specific, the threat to Lorien, unclear. And so he hoped that this would be the proper line to discover his purpose. He did better when set to a task, something he could fix. Only time would tell what they would have of him on this adventure.*
((Destin appreciates the invite, but I figured this would be a good segue for Heldir's introduction. I figure he can always pop in later, should it be appropriate.))

((No probs! It's a cool intro for Heldir and I'm sure there'll be other stuff happening that calls Destin back.))
Amala's mouth had fallen open in surprise when the Prophet had disappeared and was replaced with...a human? But no, it was obvious from his appearance that he was more than a mere one. The mention of Aragorn cinched it. One of the Dúnedain! This couldn't be just a coincidence, and the elf maiden took this as a good sign. She bowed back.
"Sir, you've arrived just in time. There is in fact dire need of help."

*Good, at least he had found someone who could give him more information. Though she did seem surprised to see him. Heldir took a step closer, to engage in proper conversation.*
"I serve Lorien and all those free peoples of Middle Earth." *He offered nobly.*
"Speak as to what aid I might provide you." *His voice was soft and smooth, but gave the promise of sure blade in service to was task might be required.*

Edie who was still standing behind Amala appeared suddenly, everything was happening so quickly, that she hadn't yet had the time to close her mouth.
Especially now.
She didn't know humans could look the way this one did, but she reminded herself, Dúnedain or not, he was still human.
Her mouth formed a thin line.

Amala reached over to give Edie's hand a gentle squeeze.
"There is a great threat, and to combat it, we must leave Lorien in search of Carsomyr."
No, she had no idea what or who Carsomyr was, but she realized she had to think fast on this one.
"We will need help to reach our destination."

((Haters gonna hate. )) *Heldir's brow lowered as she set to explanation. He had never heard of Carsomyr, but he did not need to know all the details to be of use. He straightened slightly at the suggestion of his aid.* "I will see you and yours to your Carsomyr." *He vowed solemnly.* "My steed awaits outside. I am prepared to carry onward when you are ready." *That was the best part of getting to task; there was no unpacking to necessitate repacking.*

She nodded, trying not to grin like an idiot at how things were progressing. So well, so fast! If she didn't have time to think, her head would never stop spinning.
"Before we set off on that journey there'll be a quick detour to gather a few more things together--we want to be as prepared as we can, after all."

"As you would have it, my Lady." *Only then did it occur to him that there had been no formal introduction. It might seem awkward now, but at the urgency she seemed to imply, it might otherwise not happen at all.*
"I am Heldir of the North." *He offered formally, every bit as awkward as expected. He gave another tight bow and glanced between the two ladies. Offhandedly, he wondered if Belroch was fairing all right. He would see to him soon enough.*

"Oh! Of course." She gave a small curtsey.
"I am Amala Telemnar-Ramses, and this is my lady-in-waiting, Edie."
Well, no, Edie technically didn't have such a title, but in Amala's mind, that is exactly what her friend was.

Edie forced a smile for the human and bowed "A pleasure."

*Heldir's shifted his weight slightly, social niceties not really being his thing. He gave a tight bow in answer to both of them.*
"Perhaps...you might tell me where you would have me until the others are ready to depart. I will waste no more of your time, as I imagine you have much left to do."

"Well...we are on our way to Paris...perhaps you could join us? While the way is simple enough, Paris itself is...hmmm...quite dangerous in it's own way."
She wasn't really concerned about her safety--she was confident in her own fighting abilities, and Edie's magic. But with a human along, that might make travel easier through the mostly-human city, even if Heldir was of a very different culture from that of Paris.

*Heldir's brow lowered. He had never heard of the place. But the task seemed simple enough. He gave a curt nod.*
"I will serve Lorien in whatever capacity it requires of me." *Still, he wondered. It was not as if he was ignorant of the world, being as well-traveled as he was.*
"When will we be leaving?" *He asked coolly.*

Amala threw a reassuring glance over her shoulder at Edie before answering Heldir.
"We were on our way out now, as a matter of fact."

Edie stared down at her toes, the plan was to remove the humans and here they were asking one to come along! Of course that was never Amala's purpose, her father was in a way human, so the other girl never was able to grow a hatred for the race as Edie did.
It was terrible she knew, heck, she even liked dwarves! But humans!
Edie kept her eyes to the floor, attempting not to allow her mouth to get a head of her brain.
