*Father Joseph quietly went about his daily chores. It had been a few weeks since he'd arrived and he was fitting in well. He was still no speaking, but the other monks didn't mind it. Several were also actively participating in a vow of silence. He knelt in the garden, pulling weeds. The air was clean and the sky overcast. He savored the damp smell of the dirt in his hands, reunited with the Earth, with God's creation. It helped him find peace.*

Anna arrived at the seminary and began walking toward the first building she saw, until she saw the familiar backside.
She dropped her bags and stared.
"Father Joseph?"

*Joseph paused at his name, but the feminine voice confused him. It was familiar. He knelt back, craning his head around. Seeing who it was, he instantly brightened. He stood, not bothering to dust off his knees as he closed the distance between them, pulling her into a tight embrace. Remembering propriety, he quickly released her with an apologetic bow of his head.*

She was crying, but not tears she had been, but tears of joy "I-"

*Joseph shook his head with a gentle smile, letting her know everything was all right. It would be. He opened his arms to her, allowing her to take comfort, should she seek it.*
I'm glad to see you too.

She fell in to his arms and tried to stifle the flowing tears "I was so scared, I didn't think I'd ever see you again" she whispered.

*Joseph leaned back, just enough to cup her face in his hands, wiping away her tears with his thumbs gently. Shaking his head slowly, he leaned in, bring her face closer and planting a chaste kiss on her forehead.*
It's all right. You're here now.
*His happiness read in his eyes.*

She sniffled and looked down at the ground "Father I don't have much time."
Anna knew he'd know what she was talking about.

*Joseph sighed softly, bring his lips back to her forehead. They rested there for a while. Finally, words slipped softly out of them, warming her skin.*
"Then...spend it with me."
*He shut his eyes against the pain of the loss that would come all too soon.*

Anna smiled and swallowed hard "There is no other place I'd rather be."

*His voice still soft from weeks of disuse, Joseph held her close for nearly a minute before stepping back.*
"Let's...get you settled." *He smiled supportively, but the situation obviously hung about him. He picked up what bags she'd brought and started towards the historical building, making sure she was keeping up.*

She nodded and followed, her head hanging low, although her eyes never left the father. It was where she belonged, next to him, in service to god; she wished she had only seen it earlier. ((I was totally tearing up earlier and also Hehe))

((Aww. *hugs* I'm sure I will be by the end. And...that's kinda awesome.))
*Joseph saw her into the building and after speaking briefly with another priest, was able to get her assigned to her own room. It was in a different wing than the priests, but that was probably for the best. He helped her with her things. He glanced around the small room, then to her questioningly, as if asking if it was all right.*

"This is fine" she said as if knowing what he was thinking "as long as it in not in Paris, I would sleep on the ground" she smiled gently.

*His eyes were sad, but supportive.*
"I...am glad that you came."
*He looked worried for a moment before continuing hesitantly.*
"Did...something happen?"
