Under normal circumstances--vampire hearing, and all--Buffy might have heard Krolock. But she was in her own little world, and Prince Charming was at the center of it. And for now, she was entirely happy to keep it that way.
Which meant that any interruption, and violence done against his person, would meet with her considerable skill. For now, however, she sighed happily and, perversely, struck a ready stance, her legs wide, her arms up.

"Now," Krolock murmured to Yager, suddenly lunging at Charming.

Yager immediately moved and pulled Buffy out of Krolock's way... and really, really hoped he wouldn't get punched or something.
Angry!Slayer!Vampire!Woman could never be a good thing.

Charming was stronger than he looked and even with Krolock having the element of surprise more or less caught the vampire.
The prince did stumble with the sudden extra weight and landed flat on his back, the count on top of him. Subconsciously taking advantage of the situation, one hand slid lower and copped a feel. Ooh... good shape for a man his age.
"Now you want to fight?!" He exclaimed, attempting to roll them over.
Then, in a somewhat lower and softer voice he added: "It's fighting you want, right?"

"That's it," he said, grabbing Charming by the collar, "you are OUT THE WINDOW!"
And so Prince Charming went exactly in that direction.

Charming did indeed go flying, flailing his arms as he fell a long way down before finally hitting the ground with a thud.
So... that was a 'maybe'?

"Oh my god!" screamed Buffy. "You've killed him!"
She shoved Yager out of the way, towards the bookcases (and, coincidentally, the Count) and dove out the window herself. But she landed on her feet, her knees giving slightly though she was at Charming's side in moments.
"You're... you're alive!" she cried joyously, catching him up in a rather unmaidenly strong hug.

((Must... resist... ah, screw it! )) Buffy's shove was enough to make Yager trip in quite a terrible way. The vampire hunter did indeed crash into his friend, but only when his head was at the level of the count's crotch. It actually took him a few moments to realize this, but then time seemed to slow down. His first course of action was to remove his face from Krolock's nether regions, which was a pretty good move in itself. He then looked up at his friend with something between horror and and apology on his face before pushing himself away and landing on his ass, scampering backwards to create a somewhat more appropriate distance between them. "Sorry, her fault, pushed me," he panted, his face reddening.

"Yes, yes, I'm fine... don't you fret, my dear," Charming replied with a perfect smile, returning the hug.
If he were to die every time he was killed the outlook for stories everywhere would really be rather grim.
"Now, let us be gone from this dreadful place."

Buffy gazed up at him with grateful admiration.
"Yes, let's!" she said happily, taking his hand in her crushing grip.

Charming put two fingers in his mouth and whistled. He was perfect, so of course he could perform that rather impossible act with ease.
Right on cue, his white stallion trotted majestically towards them.

Buffy grinned.
"He's beautiful," she said. "I love horses."
Why hadn't he kissed her yet? Wasn't he supposed to kiss her?
((I can't wait for them to run into Spike.))

The Graf, being as he was, made absolutely no comment whatsoever and the hows or the whys (master of forgetting and all that), save for immediately getting back on his feet and mumbling a "nevermind" at Yager as he ran over to the window to see the results of the scuffle.
But of course, Charming wasn't dead, and Buffy being both Slayer and Vampire had never really been in danger, so jumping out of a window wouldn't have done much to her health. Still, it was a loss, as now the still-bespelled (he was convinced it was some sort of spell on her) Buffy was gone to who-knew-where. Probably some sparkly castle.
He turned to Yager, cape whirling through the air.
"This is, without a doubt, the most ridiculous thing that's happened in this castle ever."

"1,000! 1,000 books, ah-ah!"
He was not nearly done, but he'd come to 1,000, and that was special!

"Then let's go."
He lifted Buffy onto the horse with ease, giving her the obligatory kiss in the process, before climbing on himself.
"Now, hold on tight, my dear..."
