*Lizzie walked primly over the grass, smiling that knowing smile that she always got after winning an argument. But she also seemed genuinely happy that the wedding was going to happen after all. Jake deserved to be happy. She glanced up at the sky as she took her place off to the side.
It was a bit later than it should have been, obviously, but the setting sun left the sky all sorts of pretty colors. Dusk was young enough that one could still see without lanterns and the air was starting to cool.*

*Even in his ill-fitting suit, Jake managed to look pretty damn smart as he walked towards the preacher. His steps slowed as he passed his sister, and he barely bent towards her ear as he muttered.*
"So help me, if ya put too much o' the fear o' God inner, you'll catch it, Lizard, I swear..."
*Still he seemed in a good humour, for the most part.*

((Can't think of many ways to dress Jake that he wouldn't still be teh sexy.))
*Lizzie's lips tightened, stretching her smile a bit more, but she just bounced her brows at him, for once letting things lie.
Lark appeared from the house door, looking nervous but bubbling in excitement. Whatever had transpired between her and Lizzie hadn't seemed to left her much worse for wear and she tried her best to pace herself as she approached the preacher and her intended. But there was a bounce in her step and when she finally got there, her gaze lifted shyly to him. She wondered now how she could have ever thought that there was a chance that she didn't want to spend the rest of her life with him. She knew that no matter what was to come, they'd get through it.*

*Jake took Lark's hand in his, raising it to his lips for a moment before they turned to the priest as he began to speak.*

***FADE IN - MARRIED-STYLE***
*Tears of joy sparkled in Lark's eyes as she lifted her face to kiss her husband. Husband. It was so strange. But wonderful too. Mrs. Lark Quinn. It was pretty overwhelming and she felt a touch light-headed.*

*Jake caught a look in her eye and felt Lark quiver slightly. He circled an arm about her waist, holding her close and steady.*
"I've got ya," *he whispered, kissing her gently.*

*She melted against him, safe in his strong arms.*
"Til death do us part." *She whispered back, one eye peeking as her smile was slowly renewed. Rolling up on her toes, she kissed him again with more confidence.*

"'Til ya kill me, yeah," *teased Jake as soon as they came up for air.
Somewhere, there were hoots and hollers rising from the onlookers, which consisted of Kip, Jamie and Lizzie.*

"Careful it ain't sooner."
*Lark muttered and gave him a playful shove before glancing at the rest of the onlookers, as if noticing them for the first time. Her eyes caught Kip's for a moment and she hoped that things hadn't been too hard on him.*

*Kip had that way of recovering quickly that young men do, and so he just grinned at his new sister and gave a piercing whistle of appreciation.*
"Do we eat, now?" *he asked. Jamie rolled his eyes and Jake laughed before all three brothers turned their eyes to Lizzie.*

*Lizzie just lifted her hands in a defensive flutter.*
"Fine! Fine. Ya'll get washed up and I'll have everythin' laid out in two shakes of a lamb's tail."
*Without further comment she turned and hurried up to the house to get things ready.
Lark just wrapped a contented arm around Jake, silently wondering if this meant that she could have a moment alone with him in his room. She couldn't figure any reason they couldn't and she nudged him back towards the house.*

*Jake had no difficulty following Lark's lead, though he did murmur a teasing protest.*
"Kitchen's thattaway, Trouble..." *he said, even as they were headed down the hall the other way.*

*Lark glanced back at him smugly.*
"And she said to wash up. You've got a basin in your room, don't you?"
*Her smile broke wide as her brow arched deviously. She picked up her pace, but stopped in front of the door.*
"This one, right?" *As if both of them weren't damn sure it was.*

"Uh-huh."
*Suddenly, he'd gotten real quiet, and he struggled to fill the silence.*
"Yeah."
*Not that he improved it, much.*

*Fine, if he was gonna make her do everything... She rolled her eyes hastily beneath their lids and opened the door. Lark turned back to him with a mischievous grin and caught him by the shirt, tugging him into the room and quickly shutting the door behind him. In a flash her arms were about his neck and she kissed him hotly, her fingers buried deeply in his hair.*
