Meanwhile, Midna had no idea what the elf was talking about, but she didn't like it at all. Nor did she like being insulted and then ignored. One eye twitched; these people didn't know her! How could they make assumptions?! Instead of calming down, she clenched her fists, debating what to do...and then she smirked as the wolf and the boy began to fight. "Ohh, so you two wanna fight it out anyway, do you? Well, let's let you do that without interference! Eee hee!" Raising her arms overhead, she cast another spell. In a moment, the ground at their feet would abruptly turn black, little specks peeling off the darkness and drifting up, and expand in a circle bound by energy to enclose the combatants and the hostages--while cutting off the guards if they weren't careful. ((Oh, and Beraht: remember, there are no therapists.))

Tsume walked over to the princess as she had her hissy fit, though unlike Kiba he didn't try to attack.
"You think you know what WE'VE gone through, lady?" He demanded. "Unless your kind was almost killed off, I don't think you should talk. If you went looking for Paradise because it was the only thing you had left, I'll leave you alone! And if you've been killed by some crazy noble on the rebound, then I'll call us even."
He paused for a moment, then went on. This wasn't even close to Paradise--not if that meant a barely-sane alpha and running into who-knew-what every other day.
"That bastard made us lose Paradise. I know we've lost it, because we're HERE and Kiba's even more of a screw-up than he used to be! So unless you've been through all of that, I don't think you have a right to call Kiba your equal."

((Well we did have some psychopaths psychoanalysts on here. Though I think are busy with either banging hot chicks and/or eating folks.))
*Beraht landed on the ground. Hard. He though he heard some bones crack. This wolf was heavier then it seemed. BEraht let out a cry of pain and then charged his magic.
His hands began to glow darkly, the magic shizzling the air around him. He hoped to blast the beast off of him.
Of course then all of a sudden the world around them started going dark.*

Kiba pinned Beraht as soon as they hit the ground, lowering his head almost to the boy's neck as a growl reverberated from his chest.
Why did you attack us in the first place? He asked, not caring about the sudden changes in atmosphere.

Moonshade looked at the darkening world around her, and her innocent, violet eyes widened in fear. She stepped closer to Beraht, hiding behind him, as to seek his protection.
Helen of Troy looked after Kiba in panic. This darkness frightened her as well. She looked pleadingly at him, silently begging for his protection from this frightening magic around her.

Midna now whirled to face the wolf's companion, still breathing rather heavily, and crossed her arms confrontationally.
She growled, listening to him, and her hair clenching and unclenching, though she didn't attempt to fight back. However, as she listened, slowly she tilted her head, still incensed but somewhat surprised. "You...don't say. As a matter of fact, then, I do have a right, damnit! There's only four of my subjects that I've seen that are not rampaging monstrosities, I went looking for the mirror as a way to get home--which I am still not!--and what's more, I DID get killed by a psycho noble vassal!" She took a deep breath now, as that was all said in one breath. "He exposed me to the light spirit, and I could actually feel myself going blank when the other princess...chose to save me."

"Because I got bored."
*Beraht whispered back, growling too. He released the magic, hoping to free himself of the wolfs weight. And also hopefully taking a good chuck out of the thing.*

"There's only two of us that I know of," Tsume retorted. "A half-crazy alpha and his beta. I don't smell any female wolves around--do you? You might as well call wolves extinct and save us the trouble of dying."
He headed over to Helen, who looked quite uneasy at the transforming surroundings. "Don't worry--Kiba's going to snap out of it soon."
--- Kiba was blasted off as the magic hit him, but despite his burns he got back up and went after Beraht again.
At least you fought back, he said, circling the boy and watching his movements for another attack.

Midna didn't. But that was hardly a valid line of reasoning. "Oh, half-crazy, you say?" she muttered, then looked up. "Don't be stupid, there's thousands of wolves around" (she didn't know of his suspecies' extinction) "...but I don't know about my Twili. I can't even tell how they're doing..." Now she was somewhat talking to herself, and let him go wtih a snort.

Helen looked up at Tsume with tears in her eyes.
"I don't doubt Kiba's strength. I am just afraid it may come to a point where he get killed or hurt to the point where I can't heal him. I don't want anything to happen to him, Tsume."
I love him....

"Thousands?" Tsume repeated. "It's been weeks since I got here, and I haven't seen ANY wolves walking around yet. Unless you're talking about those werewolves? Kiba hates them, and I don't like the idea of hybrids that much myself."
He heard her muttering--he was a wolf--and answered, "Not knowing is way better than watching the world die for yourself. Kiba was the last one standing before I died--that's how I know we're extinct."

Moonshade looked up at Tsume.
"Then you have not been around in Lorien, or you would have heard about the Elven tribe, the Wolfriders. They came some weeks ago. Wild warriors, beautiful women and great healers and magicians. They are living in pact with their wolves, calling them brothers. They are here, in our country. Now."

"Then again," Midna replied, looking up, "I don't know where I am. Or how I got here. Do you?" she pointed out. "Heh, I can deal with werewolves. And you see?" She shrugged, smirking.
In any case, she looked up from her distraction, and sighed. "Well...I...still feel that I have an obligation to them. I'm their ruler, after all. Frankly, I would think that even, or especially, someone like that--" she jabbed a finger in Kiba's direction, "--would understand the feeling."

*Moonshade frowned at the orange cat that had done nothing but talking about herself since she arrived.*
"If you had talked less and listened more, you would have known where you are. I have mentioned it several times now."
*She muttered.*
"Grownups never listen."

Cat? She'd best not say that out loud. Imp or not, Midna was a very proud Twili woman. Also very self-centered. Though at the moment, it was justifiable--at least she thought so, since that white wolf had started yelling at her.
"I meant, in general," she snorted back at the young elf. "This isn't anywhere near Hyrule, nor is it the Twilight Realm. And where did you come from, anyway?" she asked directing her attention back to Tsume. Granted, she was arguing with him because he was being a contrary jerk (again, she thought), but somehow she was interested in the others here now.
