*María was still standing by the work table where they had shared their first dinner. The box was standing in front of her on the table. She smiled and looked over at Will.*
"I am glad you can see it that way. I have your box right here. Do you want a bottle now?"

"I suppose there's no harm in giving it a go now."
*Will took a bottle and opened it, downing it and making a face. Wiping his mouth, he re-corked the bottle and set it down on the table as his body shifted to a bit more opaque state.*
"And there's the rub." *He whispered, studying himself.*

*María tilted her head, studying him.*
"Well, you don't seem so transparent anymore. I can't see the bed throught you any longer. But just to make sure...."
*She rounded the table and stood in front of him. With blushing cheeks she shyly reached out her hand to touch him.*

*He was solid enough all right. Will smiled down at her.*
"Satisfied?"

*María met his gaze, and her heart skipped a beat. Her gaze wandered shyly over his mouth. She wondered how it would feel to kiss him....
Blushing she lowered her gaze again and nodded, still shy.*
"P-perhaps I should preparing for dinner. Arngrim has placed some men's clothes in the closet over there, for your use. There are some shaving stuff and other things there as well."
*She went over to her wardrobe and pulled out a long, white dress, decorated with jewels. On her, it would look exquisite. She turned to Will again, holding the dress up in front of her.*
"Will this one do for dinner tonight, or do you wish to help me pick a dress?"

*Will looked confused then rubbed his previously newly-shorn face only to find it stubbly again. He sighed, looking at the dress.*
"It's lovely, and suits you well." *He answered, though he wondered what made her think that he would be of use in picking out such things. He turned towards the bathroom.*

*María smiled and looked warmly up at him.*
"Well, then. If you take the bathroom here, I'll take the one in my room, where I slept tonight. The servants have made our baths ready for us. I need 30 minutes to finish my bath and my hair. But I'll come back to see you to dinner. Shall we say in.... 40 minutes?"

*Will nodded.*
"I will see you then." *He continued toward the bathroom.*

*María smiled and went to the room next door, which she had moved into, so Will could take her bedroom. With a start she suddenly remembered that Sir Wilbur and Astaroth had always used to haunt her in the bedroom Will was using. Well, Astaroth was haunting her everywhere, really. She reminded herself that she had to ask Will about that later.
She went into her bathroom and sank down into the bath. It felt refreshing after all the pressure. Her chamber maid helped her wash her hair, and arranged María's long raven curls in a very advanced hairdo.
After the bath, María got dressed in the white dress she had picked out, and the chamber maid laced her so hard that she could hardly breathe. But her waist looked narrow, and it lifted her chest perfectly. While the chamber maid put on Marías make-up, María wondered slightly what Will would say when he saw her.*
"Well, let's find out."
*She mumbled cheerfully to herself as she 40 minutes later knocked on his door.*

*Will was ready by then, of course. Even with shaving and having to track down some new clothes (since the ones he'd been given for breakfast had been ashed). He opened the door to greet her, surprised by what he saw. He finally managed to stop staring, shut his mouth and bow politely, if a bit awkwardly.*
"Milady."

*María blushed deeply and looked up at Will, her golden eyes glittering by the sight of him. She thought he looked handsome in his outfit. It was a modest outfit, but Will was handsome enough to make good use of it. When she finally got her speech back, she gave him a deep curtsey and whispered.*
"Mylord."

*Will shook his head with a subtle smile.*
"I am no one's lord."
*He glanced past her.*
"Should we to dinner then?"

*María smiled and stood up again.*
"Of course. The dinner will be at the dining Hall tonight. May I?"
*She gently placed her hand on his arm, so he could lead her to the dining hall if he wished. She had no idea if they did things like this in England.*

*The nobility did, certainly, but Will did not seem so comfortable with it. But he managed awkwardly, his body tight, to finally get them to the dining room. He walked her to her seat, but did not move it (for he did not think to) before sitting himself. This was starting to get weird.*

*María smiled and sat down, not commenting on him not moving her seat. She looked warmly over to him, while the servants brought out the dinner for tonight.
The starter was a soup with chicken in it. The main course was roast beef with thick, delicious sauce, potatoes and vegetables, and the dessert was a caramel fromage, so delicately made it could just melt on your tongue.
María looked over at Will.*
"Bon apétit."
