"Uh..." *Will thought, but wasn't sure she'd like his answer.*
"Well, if it's not too much to ask..." *He started, ruffling his hair, unable to meet her eyes.*

*María looked mildly up at him, and smiled warmly.*
"Yes, Will? Please, don't be afraid to ask. I want you to feel comfortable around me. Just be yourself and say and do whatever you please."

"Well..." *He continued.* "That's kind of the issue. It's just that you...revere me. It seems that everything is about what I want and how great my works were and..."
*Will sighed, frustrated by his inability to explain.*
"It's hard for me to act like a person when I spend too much time focusing on me."

*María chuckled with laughter.*
"My dear Will, I had no idea you felt it that way. The most artists I have met, spend hours just talking about themselves. I apologize for thinking you were like them. If you want less focus on your person, I will try to oblige. It won't be easy for me though, since you are my favorite writer."

*Will tried to cheer up, but he was tired.*
"You asked what I wanted, and that's my answer. It's up to you if you can give it or not."

María smiled gently, noticing he was tired.*
"Well, if that's what you want, that's what you're going to get. But now my friend, you look a bit tired. Do you wish to retreat?"

"Perhaps." *Will replied.* "I am sorry if I spoiled the meal."
*He managed a smile.*
"But at least you can have your room back."

*María smiled warmly.*
"Oh, you didn't spoil the meal. I think we were both done anyway."
*She looked over at him.*
"So, what are you going to do now?"

*Will looked rather sheepish.*
"If you'll show me to whatever room you'd like me to take up residence in, I can give you some peace for the rest of the night."

*A horrible thought struck María, and she looked up at Will again.*
"Oh, Will! I had almost forgot... I'm so sorry! Did the ghosts bother you tonight? Or... or Astaroth?"
*She stood and offered him a hand.*
"I'll give you the bedroom that is right beside mine. There have never been any hauntings there."

*Will arched his brow.*
"Uh...no. I just thought you might want your room back."
*His eyes narrowed in thought.*
"If there are no hauntings in the other room, why don't you sleep there?"

*María smiled warmly back.*
"Because, my dear friend, if I move into that room, the ghosts will move after me. My parents tried giving me a new room every night when I was a child. It didn't work. It seems I am a magnet for ghosts."

"Oh. Very well then." *Will replied. That did make sense.*
"Lead on then."

*María smiled and started walking back to the bedrooms.* "Please, follow me." ((I'll make a new thread, called Will's bedroom. ))
