*Will chuckled.*
"Just something black would be nice. I think it might have a bit more pick-me-up. If it's not too much trouble."

*María smiled warmly.*
"Of course. I should have known that strawberry tea was too sweet for a man like you."
She got him another cup of tea, this time black. She lifted her eyebrow and looked questioning at him.
"Would you like some sugar and milk in it, or mayhaps something stronger?"

*Will arched a surprised brow.*
"Uh...it's a bit early, even for me." *He nodded slowly.* "Just milk and sugar will be fine, thank you."
*Besides, alcohol went better in coffee.*

*María chuckled and added one lump of sugar in his tea, stirring it around before adding the milk.*
"Yes, my father used to say the same. But then again, I can't remember that my father ever drank tea."
*With a smile she offered him the cup of tea.*
"I hope this taste will suit you better."

*Will nodded and sipped the new cup in appreciation.*
"Thank you."
*He glanced around the hall.*
"So what were you thinking of for breakfast?"

*María looked thoughtful for a moment. She looked over the ingredients.*
"Well, I can see ham, cheese, milk, butter, salt, eggs, and a lot of spices. I can also see some freshly baked bread. What would you say to an omelet?"

*Will considered things for a moment.*
"I would say that sounds perfectly delightful."

*María smiled and went into the kitchen. She started mixing eggs, some milk and some salt. Then she heated the stove, and allowed the butter to melt in the frying pan. She added ham, cheese and the spice, and heated the omelet in the pan, while she cut the freshly baked bread into slices and buttered them.
Finally she placed the omelet on two plates, the bread in a small basket beside, and carried it over to the table.*
"What do you want to drink?"
*She asked.*

*Will lifted his cup to her.*
"Just the tea will be sufficient, thank you."

*María smiled and sat down by the table after making sure they had everything they needed for a good breakfast.*
"I know I'm not as skilled as Pierre in the kitchen, but I hope my breakfast is eatable."
*She said playfully.*
"Please, enjoy your meal."
*She took a sip of her tea.*

*Will nodded, smiling as he took a bite.*
"Mmm...very nice." *He conceded, continuing to eat slowly.*

*María smiled too, and started eating her breakfast slowly.*
"Thank you. I know Pierre is very thorough with his picking of the ingredients. Only the best is good enough."
*She smiled and looked out of the window.*
"We have a couple of new houseguests. A distant relative of mine, Isabelle d'Angoulême and a friend of hers. They arrived yesterday. I gave them a guestroom on the third floor, and I think they will have their breakfast there. Have you met them yet?"

((Hmm...I'm not really sure how to deal with this since I posted yesterday in the other thread, mentioning that he didn't expect anyone. Thoughts?))

((Sorry, I wrote the breakfast scene before I read the other thread, so I didn't know you had posted. I'll edit and change the date for their arrival to the day before. Will that be okay with you? That way, Will will have time to run into the couple while María is in her room or her office.))

((Sure.))
*Will nodded.*
"So...she's not the same cousin that couldn't come due to illness?"
