*Treszka glanced in the direction he was looking.
She would definitely like to meet them...and not just because they were easy on the eyes*
"Well, you should. They're family, too."

*Becca looked at Andrew approvingly, then squinted at Tony. It was easy enough to tell them apart--Andrew had posture.*
"Er...perhaps another time for...I think Tony's been enjoying the party a little too much..."
*She looked back to her husband and Treszka.*
"But Andrew will be delighted to meet you--and his, his wife," *she faltered. It was still so strange to think of Andrew being married. Not that he shouldn't be but she had never imagined it for him, really. Even if he was the heir.
She led them over to Andrew, interrupting him as nicely as she could--of course the gentlemen all fell silent as she approached.*
"Andrew--I should like to introduce Scarlett and you to my husband and his sister. Rudolf, Treszka--my oldest brother Andrew."
*She turned to Rudolf and Treszka, reversing it.*
"Andrew Blakeney, his wife Scarlett Blakeney, formerly Miss O'Hara of Tara--in Georgia, I believe."

"Pleased to finally meet you--both of you."
*He offered Andrew a hand to shake*

"Ooooh, Georgia? I've never been...closest I ever got was Arkansas. Is it a lot different?"
*She was chattering, though she didn't even realize it*

*Andrew shook Rudolf's hand with a genuine smile. He could tell the man adored his baby sister, and of course an Emperor wasn't half good enough for Becca in his mind, but it would have to do alright. His grin widened as he bowed to Treszka. Something about her reminded him of Rebecca. And something else--not Rebecca--but something about her seemed strangely familiar even as it gave him something of a chilling twist in the pit of his stomach. Not evil, no, just--that strange familiarity. As if he had known her, or her brother, or someone connected to them, before. Of course he had not, and Rudolf did not give him the same feeling of recognition. He brushed it aside and maintained his good humour.*
"I confess I have never been to the Americas. I shall leave it to my wife to answer that question."

*So far, so good. He didn't have any concrete impressions yet, beyond that he was glad to finally meet Rebecca's brothers (or one of them, at least).
Treszka, for her part, couldn't shake off the omg cute reaction she had to the twins. Though, there was something in the way he glanced at her...
Both Rudolf and Treszka turned their attention to Scarlett*

*Through the liquor-based haze that fogged his vision, Tony glanced over as Scarlett was introduced to Rebecca's husband and some other girl. His heart dropped into his stomach and he felt like he might be sick even as in the same moment he thought he might burst from joy.*
Teleute--
*The fog cleared and he saw he'd been wrong--it was just some other girl. She didn't even look like Teleute. He wondered briefly why on earth he could have made such a mistake--after he'd ruthlessly trained himself to stop seeing her around every corner, months ago. He'd have gone more mad than he already had, otherwise.
He pushed back his chair with a rough scrape and left the table quickly, pausing only briefly to hold on to the door frame for a moment before he departed the room.*

*Something was wrong, and she had a feeling it had to do with her, somehow. She didn't know why, though, or could even figure it out. She didn't really know anyone, certainly not well enough that they'd react to her strongly, in a good way or bad.
She felt compelled to follow him, on top of that*
"Is he all right...?"
*She started to move after, then stopped. He likely wouldn't appreciate a stranger chasing after him*

*Becca laid a hand on Treszka's arm.*
"...he's always like that, now. Don't think it's your fault or anything. Tony...he used to be fun. He used to laugh. Then he--"
*She couldn't say any more as tears filled her eyes at the thought of what had wrought such a change in her brother--she knew as well, now, the pain of losing someone you loved deeply; but there was a difference--Tony blamed himself.*
"He changed," *she whispered.*

*It sounded a lot like her father.*
"I know what you mean." She said quietly.
"My father hasn't been the same since...mother."

*Becca nodded.*
"...I can only thank God for your brother...who knows, I might have been the same way."

Scarlett had put her best society face forward to meet the newlyweds. She couldn't believe her family now boasted an Emperor, and wondered what everyone at home would think. And she'd smiled genuinely when Treszka asked about Georgia, and told her politely that Georgia was nothing like Arkansas, though neither could compare to Europe. Of course, she'd never been to Arkansas, or met anyone from there, but assumed naturally that it couldn't hold a candle to Georgia.
Now, however, talk had turned to Tony, and she grew silent and uncomfortable, though her face did not show it. She turned to Rudolf.
"It was a beautiful wedding," she said in her soft Southern accent.

*Rudolf, though, didn't really hear her. He was staring at Treska in shock*
"What? She's dead? When did this happen?!"

*Treszka’s eyes widened*
“Wait…you didn’t know? But I thought—”
*When she stopped to think about it, though, she realized that nobody had ever tried to contact him and tell him.*
“Oh my god, Rudolf, I’m so sorry…”

*He staggered back a bit, grabbing hold of a nearby chair to steady himself*
"I...I need to...sit down..."
