Scarlett wasn't sure what she was supposed to do about it, aside from become a better actress in order to sound more sincere when it seemed necessary. She decided she was sorry, because it meant that Andrew's brother was depressed and drunk and on top of that possibly upsetting her husband, it was all sorts of no fun for her. "Well... your sister found love again, didn't she?" Scarlett offered. *Tony looked at Scarlett.* "...and that is supposed to make the loss of another more bearable?"

"Well, have you anything worthwhile to add?" *teased Becca, grinning at her husband.* "You must be aware that women have ten times the consequence of men in any matters of importance."

"Ah... suppose not," Scarlett said, flustered, and took another too-large drink.

*Tony smirked.*
"...you've never truly loved, have you?"

"How dare you?" she demanded, her eyes flashing. "I love my husband. And I'm only trying to help. There's no need to be so rude.'

*Tony grinned, slowly.*
"...if you loved him half as much as you claim to...his indifference would have broken you long before now," *he said in a low voice.*

Her eyes widened and her face paled in an expression those who knew her had come to fear.
"How dare you speak to me in such a fashion!" she fairly hissed. "Why, I... I don't think I want to talk to you anymore. You don't know the first thing about me, Mr. Blakeney, and you think your own misery's a chance to be miserable to others."
She stood, intending to make some sort of pretext for leaving, at least momentarily. She hadn't come here to hear the truth about her husband from his drunk, no-account brother. Even if he did look just like him.

"Stop talkin' about it...you'll keep thinkin' about it," *he said, only slurring slightly.*

"Talk to your guests?" She said cheekily.

"I mean you cannot be angry with me for only speaking what you're thinking."

Oh yes she could. Her eyes narrowed.
"The day you say what I'm thinking, Mr. Blakeney, I'll be sure to let you know."

"Run the country?" *Becca chimed in.* *Rudolf good-naturedly rolled his eyes* "Since I do the second often enough, I'll do the first." *He glanced at where Becca's brothers were* "I haven't met your brothers yet."
