Kirk waited below the tree, surprised to be the first one here. When Figwit had approached him the evening before, he had leapt at the chance to be useful again. He was going "soft" here in Lorien, and felt dismay at the lack of assistance he'd been able to provide these noble people. He sensed that Figwit might have preferred he stay, though whether from fear for Kirk's own safety or because he felt Kirk was not useful, he didn't know. Still, the elf had asked, and Kirk wasn't going to second guess him.
And he wasn't good at sitting still.
After a moment, Figwit appeared at his side as if from nowhere, demonstrating that Kirk could think himself alone and not be. For all he knew, there were hundreds of elves behind trees.

*Wild came out of the shadows. Her face was pale, and she didn't look at the men, even if she gave them a friendly nod. The failed wedding had broken her heart and her spirit.*

*Nightfall came dancing in her big brother's footsteps, happy to be out on her first adventure. When she noticed Captain Kirk, she blushed deeply as her golden eyes looked at him. Then she shyly looked away.*

Kirk smiled at Wild, until he realized that she wasn't looking at him. He frowned, concerned, but no sooner had he resolved to speak to her had Nightfall appeared, a vision of youth and loveliness in the breaking dawn. He knew that look well--the look that confirmed what he already knew. That he was, indeed, attractive to the opposite sex. He smiled charmingly and extended his hand.
"James Kirk," he said smoothly, glancing quickly at Figwit. "I had no idea your sister would be even prettier than you are, Fig," he teased.

*Nightfall's blushing became even deeper under her tanned skin, but her cherry lips parted in a radiant smile, showing her shiny white teeth. Her golden eyes were hidden by her long, dark eyelashes for a moment, then she looked shyly up at him again. She extended a tiny hand with soft skin, with all the shyness only a virgin can show.*
"Saesa omentien lle. My name is Nightfall Siofra."
((Pleasure meeting you.))

"Likewise," he murmured, taking her hand. Figwit cleared his throat and Kirk dropped her hand with a smile. "Well. We're all here, it looks like."
Figwit nodded, knowing Kirk would be Kirk no matter what. And trusting that he would not take advantage of his too-young sister.
"And I have the potion Leetah brewed from the herbs we collected," he said. "It only remains to deliver it." He did not say how difficult that would likely prove. He did not have to.

*Wild smiled wryly.*
"Have you thought about how we are going to do that? We can't just knock on the cave door and shout "Pizza Delivery!!!" We have to have a plan."

Figwit turned to Wild.
"Which is where you come in, Wild. We will need a distraction; Kirk and I are better physically than with magic, and Nightfall has her natural defenses. You have the power to divert them while we do what we must."

*Wild smiled bitterly.*
"I'll distract them, all right. They will never know what hit them."
And neither will Edward, if I ever get my paws on him....

*Nightfall felt left out of the company. She tugged gently on her big brother's clothes.*
"And I, what am I supposed to do?"
*Her golden eyes looked innocently up at him, and there was an adorable pout in her full lips.*

Figwit regarded her quietly for a moment, thinking seriously. He had to trust her, at some point.
"You, Nightfall, will administer the poison," he said quietly. "With Wild to distract, and Kirk and I to cover you as you move in, you are the most likely person to succeed."

*Nightfall brightened up like a sunrise.*
"I can? Diola lle!!!"
((Thank you!!!))
*She wrapped both her arms around him and hugged him.*

Figwit did not smile.
"Do not thank me, little one, until we are all back safely. You will be in great danger."
He took her shoulders. "Listen to me, Nightfall. Remember your promise. I will not take you into this if I do not feel you understand the severity of the mission."

*Nightfall looked pleadingly up at her big brother. She was serious now, afraid to be returned home before her first adventure had even started.*
"I know we will all be in great danger, Figwit. Have I not already promised to do everything you say? And even let you guide me if need be? I would never promise such things if I did not understand the severity of the mission."
*She sent him one of those Disney Bambi doe-eyes looks that always melted daddy Sebastian's heart. She had no idea if they worked on her brother, but it was worth a try.*

Figwit's eyes narrowed. He was not particularly susceptible to such machinations, but her antics amused him.
"Very well," he said, a twist to his mouth that one might mistake for the beginning of a smile. "But don't forget."
He looked up at the rest of his company.
"I see you are all packed; we do not know when we will return or what we will find on the way, so if any of you wish to procure something additional, now would be the time. If not, Wild, I believe you know the clearest way."
