AliasExplanation from the Proboards support site: Description:This code was made specifically for RPG sites with members who have multiple accounts and have to logoff/logon or resort to having multiple browsers open in order to make a post on another account. True you could use a single browser and prepend 'www' to the forum url to get two logins in separate tabs but that method still limits the number of accounts you could use simultaneously. With this Alias code you can have an almost unlimited number of accounts you can post with and use it all in one single browser window/tab.
Extra Information:It works by recording each account you login then making that account available for use by manipulating the login info in the domain's cookie file. As long as the expiration time (selected on the login page) is still in-effect the login info is still considered valid by the server.
Login on one account you want available then logoff and login on another you would like to also use. Do this as many times for as many accounts as you wish to have available then when you are ready to make a post simply select the account you would like to use for that post all from whichever account you're currently logged in on. You must select which account you want to use before typing anything since the dropdown disables itself once typing starts in order to avoid losing what was typed. You can set the expiration time for the logins to "forever" to always have those accounts available and never have to login on those accounts again. However if forever not chosen and an account expires then the code will notify you which account(s) are no longer valid.

Forked/Split Thread SystemThis was inspired from the [Another Forum System that starts with V] feature but it's not exactly the same. It isn't a traditional "Split Thread" feature in the sense that you can't move off existing posts into a new thread. Rather, it allows users (including non-staff) to start new threads based off a post in a different thread. It encourages users to take a thread in another direction without hijacking the thread.

New Smilies/ys!A bit frivolous, perhaps, and too many, but I've added RJDaae's lovely Phantom smilies to the board. Mostly I was attracted to the different versions of the Phantom, however not useful in conversation they might be. Novelty is the spice of the internet, though, isn't it? I haven't replaced any of the emoticons (i.e., you can still "wink" with a regular smiley in the regular way) so each of the new ones is activated in the : : style. Just put the code word between the : :. I can alter this, so that every pops up with a mask, but I figured this way anyone who hated the idea could ignore it. ~ takarazuka ~ schell ~ reddeath ~ rains ~ manhattan ~ paradise ~ lom ~ leroux ~ kay ~ hill ~ englund ~ dance ~ crawford ~ chaney ~ cartoon ~ gerik ~ YK ~ writing ~ wink ~ unsure ~ uhoh ~ tongue ~ thirsty ~ sunglasses ~ smile ~ sleepy ~ sad ~ phangirl ~ peace ~ painter ~ ohno ~ oh ~ nauseous ~ love ~ lightbulb ~ laugh ~ hot ~ heart ~ grumble ~ cold ~ blush ~ bigsmile ~ angry ~ XD ~ wywsha ~ thinkofme ~ raoul ~ ponr ~ meggiry ~ madamegiry ~ firmin ~ daroga ~ carlotta ~ ayesha ~ andre

Not a feature, but there is now a Time Travel sub-board under "Everywhere Else." We tend to play fast and loose with time around here, with rapid aging of children, jumping about in time and place, and other absurdities. I've even made a young!Erik character and ignored when he should be living. This is not for that. This is for when your characters are literally jumping to another time, and you feel like keeping it separate. Or if you want to play with your characters' lives far in the future. It's up to you how you want to use it; this doesn't represent a change or a rule or anything, just an option.

Residences and Establishments are now alphabetized, and following our new policy new sub-boards will be inserted in like manner.
I have also moved any residence/establishment that has not been used in over 1 year to the archive sub-board. This is merely to facilitate the finding of the things we actually use--please tell me at any time to move one back. I figure that with a one-year rule with lapsed characters, boards might as well work the same way.
