Residences and Establishments are now alphabetized, and following our new policy new sub-boards will be inserted in like manner. I have also moved any residence/establishment that has not been used in over 1 year to the archive sub-board. This is merely to facilitate the finding of the things we actually use--please tell me at any time to move one back. I figure that with a one-year rule with lapsed characters, boards might as well work the same way. Yaaay! I do so love it when you organize things.

"Much better! Alphabetical order helps a lot. Makes it easier to find things...like books."

More Gender Options
It is now possible to circumvent the binary approach to gender! At least online.
In English: When you register a character, you will still have to select male/female, due to proboards and google ads. However, once you've created the character, you can go to your profile and change it to (for now) "neither" or "undisclosed." It's a silly thing, but some of our characters are neither, and some aren't forthcoming.
But I'm open on what the options should be--those were just the first I thought of. Does that seem right, or would you like to weigh in with your opinions?

I like it. I think you're right, and that there are several characters here who will appreciate that option.

Except! When tried, it gives off an error message and says you have to choose male or female.

Okay. It's working in FF and Opera (I assume), and I believe I've fixed it for IE. Next person using it, let me know!

I think a transgender option would be good? ;}

I'll add it, and... try to figure out an icon.

It looks like the new code (for gender options) is screwing with the personal text. I don't know why, but until I figure it out, I apologize.

I think a transgender option would be good? ;} The thing is- and I am fairly certain this is opening up a can of worms here, so I'm already bracing myself for impact- all of the transfolk I know identify as either male or female anyway. Making another icon for characters who genuinely consider themselves 'in-between' is totally acceptable, but I don't think we need an icon for MTF or vice-versa. If that's not what you meant, I'm sorry, and please don't bite my head off.

I've pretty much already come to that conclusion; transgendered is unspecific in this context and I think everything we need is covered with m/f/undisclosed/other.
Should that situation alter, I will revisit it.

By the way, where are those instructions on how to log in as more than one character at a time again?
