Harry sat up straight, trying to steady her with his hands, his medical training starting to kick in until he realized what it had to be.
All he could do was wait.

*Beads of sweat broke out on her forehead before she collapsed face-down on the bed. Her figure changed, though slightly. The most marked change was her dark hair turning to red. She stirred, rubbing her forehead*
"Bloody 'ell, this shite--"

Now that was fascinating--as Jekyll/Hyde, he'd watched the transformation in a mirror, but it was different being able to observe without wracking pains. Now he laid a tender hand on Lucy's neck, a reminder of his presence and a plea for her not to be afraid.
"Lucy, darling," he said softly.

*She blinked at him, then stared confusedly around the room before turning her gaze back to Harry*
"Who...?"
*But...he was strangely familiar*
"I know you, don't I?"

Harry thought, perhaps, she should be more concerned at waking up to find a strange naked man in her bed, but it wasn't as if he didn't know what she did for a living.
"Don't be alarmed, Miss Harris," he said quietly. "You do, though you may not recognize me entirely." He didn't know how much she knew, what she remembered of the potion. Could he tell her? And if she did know... did that mean she would know he was Hyde, as well? "My name is Harry," he said.

*Her mind was a jumble of thoughts, hazy recollections of what Lucille is/was coupled with what the other persona had been up to. It was so strange, though. That had to be another person, this Lucille. It wasn't her. Couldn't be...
And this man?
She reached out to touch his face, fingers lightly brushing his cheek*
"'arry..."
No, wait.
"...'enry?"

He shouldn't have been surprised, really. Lucille had known him, and he her. But perhaps he'd wanted to shield Lucy from all this. Even if that was impossible, now.
"Yes," he said. "I'm Henry, and he's me. I'm sorry, Lucy. It is dreadfully confusing. Do you remember the past several days?" He couldn't protect her. All he could do was prepare her, as much as possible. "Do you remember Lucille?"

*He was the same, and yet not. It was rather confusing, but what kept it from being any kind of frightening was the fact that he was an incarnation Henry, not an Edward. How exactly that worked out, she had no idea.
She furrowed her brow*
"Lucille? She ain't real, is she? No way someone could be like 'at."

Harry touched her face tenderly, as if he couldn't help himself.
"She is," he said gravely. "I'm sorry. I know how you must feel. And I'm sorry I allowed this to happen."

*She frowned, then shook her head*
"But it can't be real. There was vampires an' such!"

Harry took her hand, hoping the gesture would be appreciated and not just scare her more.
"I'm afraid, my dear, that it is. I'm sorry; I shouldn't believe it either, if I hadn't seen it myself."

"But...but..."
*She stared at her hand in his, taking some comfort from it. She frowned*
"Wait--yeh saw vampires?"

"Well... no," Harry agreed. "Not in action, as it were. But I have seen things I cannot explain, and there's something... My current situation makes me more sensitive to such things. I can tell when people are lying, for example. When they are not as they appear."

*She frowned, trying to sort out her memories and Lucille's*
"'enry--'arry--I don't remember...I mean, I remember what she's done, but I don't remember anythin' else. Like, what's 'appenin' in th' city an' such."

Hyde had been so single-minded, Henry had felt the same way. Lucille was likely just as self-centered, so it was no wonder.
"Do you remember drinking something in my lab, Lucy?"
