*She nodded.*
"No problem; follow me. Sorry about the mess; evidently being a vampire automatically means you're supposed to let the castle get dusty and gross."

"Oh, that's alright. I had a castle quite like this one, once. Well, actually I still own it... but at least my staff no longer consists out of talking furniture anymore." Charming looked around as he followed her.
"Of course, I was a Beast back then. Love saved both my life and body, showed me there was more than just appearance... you probably know the deal."

"Oh, it's a pretty common fairy tale." *She said, but suddenly realized that their Belle was probably his Belle and she therefore shouldn't say much more.* "However, I'm pretty sure vampirism is incurable, even with true love."

"Can't say, never been one of those. Odd, really..." He once again put on his handsome thinking face as they walked.
"There should be a fairy tale about that... possibly with added songs."

"Well there are plenty! Haven't you ever heard about Dracula?"
*Said fairy tales tended to end up with people dead or also vampires. Ah well.*

"Of course, I've even been him in a few... but a stake through your heart is hardly a happily ever after, now is it?"
Besides, it really ruined your shirt!

"Well Harker and the girl end up happy." *She insisted.* "As far as we can tell. And I'm pretty happy thus far, even if there aren't any men and I'm certainly not in a fairy tale.*

"Yeah, but that doesn't count... trust me." The final tone was bitter.
"I'm a fairytale prince, some old legends... I'm older than any vampire you've ever met, actually." He smiled in a way everyone considered cute and placed his finger in front of his lips in a 'shush' manner. "I know these things."
"As for Harker... not my greatest role."

*She raised an eyebrow.* "Oh really? How old?"

"As old as stories." He chuckled, but raised his head when he heard music... and obligingly began to sing.
"Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme.." He smiled.
Charming continued in a normal speaking voice as the music died down again. "People need their heroes... for as long as this world and its stories have existed, so have I."

"... how precisely do you do that? The on-cue karaoke."

"I'm Prince Charming, it's in my very nature to do so."
Charming shrugged and gave her a brilliant smile that was also just part of who he was.

*When they reached the huge, imposing door, the deceptively small and soft-looking vampire easily opened it with one arm.*
"City's just down the drive then to your left; you'll start seeing the industrial sections soon." *She said cheerily.*

"Okay... well, should you ever have anyone in need of rescue, here's my card."
With a flourish Charming pulled out a glittering businesscard.
Prince Charming, allround hero and mister perfect, happiness is just a teardrop away!
"Just make sure a tear drops onto it and I'll be there before you know it."
