*Faye was up early the next morning to see to breakfast for her many guests, and Virginia helped by washing dishes.
Faye swung through the door with some stacks of dirty plates and set them in the dishpan heavily, spraying soapy water into Virginia's face.*
"Faye!" *she shrieked, slapping some of the water back at her friend, who grinned and dodged. Soon the kitchen was a mass of girlish screams as they ran about splashing water at each other.*

((Sure. I didn't know how else they might cross paths in the morning. Gin sneaking out early and disappearing back home is so emo.))

((lol. ) Declan entered the kitchen and opened the refrigerator, his hair in disorder. He watched the two girls through groggy eyes. Yawning, he asked, "Good morning to you, too. What's for breakfast?"

*Virginia grinned at him and took a fresh brown egg from a bowl on the counter.* "Eggs," *she said cheerfully.* "Catch!" *she tossed it at him.* *They were hard-boiled. But Declan didn't know that.*

Declan's eyes widened considerably before he ducked and the egg hit the wall behind him. He did not look down at the shattered egg as his eyes flew straight to Virginia.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?! If that'd hit me, I'd have spent the rest of the morning washing out egg yolk from my hair!" he yelled.

*Virginia had been laughing into her hand, but the sound died abruptly and her eyes sobered though her hand remained over her mouth.* "It was hard-boiled, Declan. It would have stayed whole, but for the shell," *she said quietly, turning back to the dishpan and rolling up her sleeves and continuing to work.*

Declan looked down at the ground to confirm what he'd just heard. His face reddened slightly.
"Oh. Right. Sorry about that."

"It's alright," *said Virginia quietly, turning to pick up a cloth, crumpling it in her hands as she walked back over to Declan to give him a light peck on the lips.* "Now this one is raw," *she said smoothly, clapping the egg against his head and giving his now-yolky hair a slight ruffle.*

Declan closed his eyes for a few seconds as the yolk dripped down his head and abruptly opened them.
In a low and menacing tone, he growled, "Look what you've done now... I'm going to get you for this!" He laughed despite the fact that he knew he'd have a trifling time washing his hair, and seized an egg off the kitchen counter. He quickly spun around and cracked it open, spilling the yolk on Virginia's hair.

*Virginia yelped as the warm runny egg dripped warm goo through her hair and over her forehead. She swiped a hand across her eyes to get the egg out of them, her hair already beginning to dry into stiff and weird-looking peaks.* "They say egg is quite good for your hair, actually."

"Really? Then, I suppose you'll be wanting some more?"
Before Virginia had a chance to respond, Declan split open another egg.

"If only there were such an easy remedy for your face," *said Virginia with a squinting scowl, scraping the egg off her hair and smearing it on his face.*
Mmmm salmonella <3

Declan wiped the egg yolk from his eyes.
"All the better," he said as he kissed her, rubbing the egg on her face.
((Dinner. Bye for now!))

*Virginia kissed him for a moment, then broke off, gagging a little, wiping her sleeve across her tongue.* "Wahw ekk. Bleh."
