*Philippe raised an eyebrow, the girl was clearly a little mad.*
"Perhaps you will." *He said indulgently.*

*Her dark eyes glanced at him keenly for a moment.*
"I didn't think you'd believe it."

*Philippe sighed.*
"I have no reason to do so."

"Have you no faith, monsieur?" *she asked curiously.*

"I have little, you must forgive me. "
*He should not speak to an innocent of this.*
"I must take my leave of you now, I have an appointment with the managers."

*She nodded slowly.*
"I will not keep you, then, monsieur. Good day," *she turned back to her drawings but eyed the vapid, childish theme with distaste. Inwardly, she sighed.*
I'll never be a real artist without some true training...

****NEW DAY****
*As Faramir walked into the gardens the rain had passed and the clouds slowly parted, making way for the warm sun. His steps were slow but steady and he enjoyed all the sights, smells and sounds the garden had to offer. However beautiful the setting was, nothing compared to the being that walked with him. Occasionally, he would sneak glances of her--her face, her hair, her eyes-- far too proud (or shy) to be candid.*

((Awww, he is sooo cute *melts* Ok, I was supposed to be stern. *cough* ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) )) *Lady Éowyn walked beside Faramir with her arm around his waist, to give him the best possible support for his wounds. Still, she was glad to come out of the room for a while. She hated being forced to spend all her time indoors. She looked shyly up at him from time to time, stolen looks, of course. She couldn't admit openly to falling for the big, strong warrior by her side. She had been strictly raised. Still, she couldn't help that her heart skipped a beat every time his skin touched hers, or the blushing colors of her cheekbones. Neither could she help that her bright blue eyes were sparkling like stars and that there was a very happy smile on her face.*

"What keeps the tongue of the Lady of Rohan silent?" *he asked playfully.*

If I told you that, you would be shocked. A lady should never admit to such feelings, even not think about the fever raging through her body when a certain man is near.
*She smiled and looked away, didn't dare to meet his gaze, afraid he might find out if he read her feelings in her eyes.*
"I was thinking about the things you said to me when I found you, my lord. And I didn't want to bother you by bringing them up without your permission."

"You do not need permission to speak your mind, lady."
*Faramir grinned bitterly.* "Which mindless utterance lingers in your mind? I cannot remember which was most inappropriate for I was regretfully injured and delirious."

*Lady Éowyn looked up at him, smiling, and with a playful glimpse of humor in her beautiful eyes.*
"You must have been, my lord." *She replied teasingly.* "You mistook me for being an angel. I can assure you that I am not."
*Then she became serious again.*
"But you claimed to have failed your father, your kingdom and your brother. Why would you say anything like that, my lord?"

And I mistake you again and again everytime I lay eyes on you...
*Faramir came to a halt under a large shady tree.* "I was entrusted by my father to guard Osgiliath at all cost. And I failed--thrice. The first time, my men and I were lucky enough to have my brother came to our aid but the second time, the Orcs overpowered us. We were left with no other choice but to retreat to Minas Tirith. And if that was not enough to smear my name in history forever, I was the only one to survive the attempt to recapture that city--"
*He paused as memories from the bloody battle flashed before him*
"Why I was the only one to live, I do not know. Perhaps it would have been more honourable to lay dead with my men in that barren land between Minas Tirith and Osgiliath."

*Lady Éowyn listened to his story with a serious expression on her face. Then she cradled his face gently and looked into his eyes.*
"Mylord, you are not to be blamed for that. There were some men from Rohan in that battle. They both came safe back to Rohan. I listened when they reported to my uncle. They said your father had given you too few men to hold the fort, while your brother got more men than he needed."
*She stroke his hair gently.*
"I do not want you to burden yourself with this. You cannot be blamed for the faults your father does."
