"Yet I cannot help but feel responsible," *he said, lowering his gaze to the lush grass beneath his feet.* "It was true that our numbers were few but it was not an impossible task. I had seen Boromir conquer and reclaim cities with much less."

*Lady Éowyn snorted.*
"From what I hear my lord, your brother Boromir was not fighting against orcs and Uruk-hai."

"No... but he did die in the hands of them," *he said dully.* "Boromir was a good man and brother and an even better warrior. I was a far second to him. And I didn't mind for he was the closest person I had to family after my mother's death."

*The sun was shining down on the couple walking in the Garden. The sunlight made Lady Éowyn's golden hair shine like gold, and her skin got a warm glow. When she heard Faramir speak like this, she stopped and and cradled his face with her small hands, looking him deeply into the eyes with her beautiful, bright blue eyes.*
"You are second to no one, my lord...."
*She whispered gently.*

*Faramir finally mustered enough courage to look her in the eyes. It was a mere moment but it felt like forever.*
*Then a word escaped his mouth without his knowledge and he caught himself drawing closer.* "You're b--"
No. *He pulled back.*
"--Your hands... I would've thought the hands of a Shieldmaiden to be rougher."

((Nice move. )) *Lady Éowyn blushed deeply when she saw him drawing closer, and her heart skipped a beat. Luckily he managed to control himself. She didn't feel quite ready to kiss him just yet. She looked down at her hands and laughed gently.* "Oh, they can be rough enough, my lord. In the Battlefield! I am known for being fearless during battle."

((*Bows* Why thank you~ ;D))
*Faramir laughed merrily.* "That I know! Though I cannot help but feel that your hands are better suited for healing rather than fighting. And I do not say this because you are a woman."

*Lady Éowyn smiled and looked shyly up at him. He was so handsome, and she loved to hear him laugh. She had to fight back a sudden urge to embrace him and give him a hug.*
"I can do both, my lord. I hope some day I will get the chance to prove it to you."
*She smiled and caressed gently the hilt of the sword that was hanging from her belt.*

*Faramir eyed the sword that was at her side.* "May I?" *he asked, holding out his hand towards her weapon.*

*Lady Éowyn looked up at him and smiled.*
"Certainly."
*She replied and allowed him to let his hands wander over her body unsheath her sword to study it.*

*Faramir stepped a little closer and carefully unsheathed her sword. He carefully examined the weapon, considering its weight and balance.* "This is a fine sword," *he said, giving it a quick swing.*

*Lady Éowyn blushed and looked shyly up at him when he stepped closer to her. Once again her heart skipped a beat when he touched her. She smiled.*
"We have good blacksmiths and fine steel in the Kingdom of Rohan."
*She replied.*
"And you are a good warrior. I can tell by the way you hold the sword. Do you want to try a swordfight against me?"
*She looked up at him, smiling eagerly.*

*Faramir smiled.* "I am afraid I might be no match to you due to my current status."
*He thought for a moment then came to the conclusion that nothing too mortal could come from a friendly swordfight. After handing her her sword hilt first, he unsheathed his own.*

*Lady Éowyn smiled and looked at him with twinkling eyes. He was big and strong. It would be no problem for him to win the match. But she knew he was too gentle to want to hurt a lady. She lifted her sword and waited for him to get ready.*
"My lord, I am certain I will have no chance against a big, strong warrior like yourself. Defeating me will be easy."

"I think not for the Rohirrim are much stronger than I."
*After a moment of silence, he advanced, hitting her sword with his with force.*
