He raised his eyebrow "Is that so?"

She nodded.
"I think it's like reading someone's mind, but not quite."

He smiled "Do you believe her to be like me?"

"I...huh."
Treszka looked thoughtful for a moment. She didn't really know a whole lot, and the last thing she wanted to do was jump to conclusions or make assumptions.
"I honestly don't know."

He smiled "That's quite all right" Charles looked out in to the city and inhaled "you know, there is room at the academy, even for a daughter of death" he turned his head to her "although I doubt you're not too interested in history and math. But maybe, if you're feeling lonely-"
He turned his chair to her "-you'd be amongst friends."

Treszka was stunned by the offer. She'd never thought of herself as being similar to people like the x-men, but now that she thought about it--
"Maybe I'll stop by." She said, before she could talk herself out of it.

"That would be lovely" he smiled "now I was thinking about lunch, would you like to join me?"

Lunch with Professor X?!
"That would be amazing," she said, feeling wildly giddy at the thought.

"There's a lovely little Asian restaurant just down the way, I'm partial to their pot stickers."

"That sounds great. I haven't really eaten at a restaurant in a while."
Or rather, she hadn't done much socializing outside of her house in some time. Though thanks to meeting Marie and now the Professor, she had a feeling that that would change.

Treszka followed, letting him lead the way since he knew where they were going exactly.
"What brings your school to France, Professor?"
She couldn't help wondering, since according to her comics, it should be in New York.

"Rip in the time line" he said flatly as if it was something that happened ever day.

Thankfully, Treszka was native to a universe where anything was possible, and she simply nodded.
"Those can cause so much trouble. At least you're modern and there's plenty of modern things here...sort of. You should see how hard it is for people from way in the future or the past."

"Paris is an anomaly for certain, it's as if things are slowly melding. Between fruit stalls they're a mobile phone stores, between cars there are carriages and nobody seems to care. At least not any more, when I first got here those who saw my chair were so perplexed I was sure they would have believed me a wizard."
