She had no idea what to say next. Part of it was the fact that it was freaking Professor X, the other part was that she still felt that residual need to be secretive, even though she new that this man, more than anyone, would be understanding of the situation.
"You...won't tell anyone about me, will you?"

"Why would I?" He crossed his hands on his lap "Where I come from, they call anyone with powers like yours a mutant. But I've found through experience that it isn't just mutants that possess these gifts. So if you'd humor me, what category do you fall under? Mutant? Magician? Demon? Other?"
There was no ulterior motive to Charles questioning and it was obvious in his voice that he was just curious. He didn't want to pass up the chance to expand his knowledge of the world as well as maybe recruit a new student.

No, he wouldn't. She wished she hadn't said that. She heaved a sigh.
"Other. Really other."
Mutant would've made things a lot easier to deal with, at least to her.

His smile never wavered "As my good friend Hank McCoy says, fascinating" Charles tilted his head just a slight bit to the right "I've known demons and angels, men and monster, what other could you be."
Charles could look, it'd be a simple thought, but he'd learned so often through the years people didn't much care to have their mind read. It was a violation of privacy and Charles could respect that.

Well, that was the billion-dollar question, wasn't it? The one that she was always afraid of answering because of the reaction it might get. Thankfully, she was talking to somebody who was used to strangeness, which would help tremendously.
"Uhhh...well." She took a deep breath. "My father is Death."

"You know where I come from, Death is a woman" he smiled "although I'm not sure how well I can trust her, she is in love with Deadpool."

"Teleute?" She said, thinking of the Death that was a sort-of grandmother for her. Or something. She'd never quite figured that part out.
The Deadpool part of the equation she had no answer for.
"Uh, well, my father's from another dimension."

"In some ways as am I" he replied "but that is a name I may have run across in some text somewhere. This must be very uncomfortable for you."

"Sometimes it is," she admitted. "It's mostly hard because I don't see him much anymore, and my mother died several years ago. I have a...half-brother, but I don't see him much, either."
She didn't fault Rudolf for that, though. He did keep in contact, and on a couple of occasions had invited her over to the palace to visit.
"It's mostly me, but I do have friends."
And Zachaire, but even with how well that went, thinking of her past family history made her wary. She half-expected something disastrous to happen any moment now.

"Friends are a sign of a good heart" he smiled thinking of his own "and can be as close as family."

"I hope so. Marie's got a big family, and...it would be nice to have them all."
There was that crushing loneliness again. It made her wonder if her father and gone through something similar. What had it been like for him before the Hapsburgs?

"Marie? Does this friend know of your heritage?"

For once, there wasn't any hesitation behind her smile.
"Oh, yes! She saw it by accident and just accepted it automatically."

He smiled "Is she human then?"
If the girl knew him, than she'd know how important human/mutant relations were to him.

"Well...yes. But I think she can do...something. I don't completely understand it."
