*She had begun to move before he had finished. She took him by the back of his neck and immediately pulled him into a deep kiss. Her mind was blank; the only object of her attention was him. With each kiss, she wanted to melt further and further into his embrace and leave everything further and further behind.
This was where she wanted to be.*

It was the same with Bruce. He'd realized, finally, how he felt about Lois and what she'd come to mean to him. It would be ridiculous, and foolish, to ignore any of it anymore. Jess, as much as he loved her and mourned her passing, was not coming back. He couldn't stay holed up in this mansion forever, hiding.
He kissed Lois back with equal intensity, sweeping her up in his arms.

"No," he said, with a soft kiss to the back of her hand. "No second thoughts."

*Being alone with disturbing thoughts constantly running through her head had made smiles rare. But in that moment, a small yet genuine smile flickered across her face.
Lois quietly laid her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. Those words were all she need to hear.*

((*hugs Jess AND Lois*
We're so mean to them))
He wrapped her in his arms, a smile matching hers on his face. He hadn't genuinely smiled like that since...London. Maybe, he dared think, things would work out.

((And so the quadrangle begins...
*Cue ominous music*))
