*Dewshined's bright blue eyes filled with tears, and she followed after him. When she heard him talking about shooting himself, her warm heart filled with compassion, and she walked over to him and placed a tiny hand on his arm, in spite of her fear of men.*
"Please, don't kill yourself. Surely, you would only become greater with everything you have been experienced. Now is not the time to break."
*A rough sense of humor washed through her mind.*
Two people with nothing to live for tries to keep each other from suicide. Instead of stopping him from shooting himself, I should've asked him to shoot me as well.

Zero did not brush off her hand as he would have expected.
Dewshine's echo of his own words broke through the reserves of his fury, and he dropped his hand to his side. Zero lowered his gaze to the damp ground, amazed at how well Dewshine reminded him of Yuuki, the girl he had once loved...hell, the girl he still loved.
They both stubbornly prevented him from taking his own life.
"Of course not," he agreed quietly and directed their ominous conversation onto a lighter topic.
"What do you think of this city, Dewshine-san?"

*Dewshine looked up at him. He seemed so sympathetic, so different from other creatures she had known. She was sure he had a girl somewhere. But why did he hate himself?
She turned her face towards the city, and looked out over Paris. The wind was rufflling her golden curls, and her bright blue eyes were taking in the city life. Her light, melodic voice was dreamingly when she replied to him.*
"Huge. Dirty. Noisy. And crowded. It must be easy to get lost here..."
*The sadness in her voice could not be mistaken. Then she turned to him, and looked up at him with her glittering eyes.*
"And you, Monsieur Zero, what do you think?"

"The same. And because of that, I find Paris the perfect place to just get away. Escape."
Zero gazed back into her eyes with curiosity; the sad note in her melodic voice seemed rather out of place and was much too difficult to overlook.
"Do you dislike what Paris symbolizes, then?"

*Dewshine looked up at him shyly, blushing when she looked into his eyes.*
"I don't know what Paris symbolizes. I just needed to get away, and escape. Like you did."
*The sad tone in her voice was still there.*
"But at least the River Seine holds a certain beauty, even if it is not like the River Anduin at home."

"And of course you'd despise this city for the experiences and memories it holds."
The cheerlessness of her voice depressed his already dampened spirits. Zero wondered if it would ever be possible to return to her the joy and jubilance that her presence seemed to command.
"The River Anduin?" he repeated. "I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with it. Is it in Europe?"

*By the thought of her beautiful homeland, Dewshine's beautiful face lit up in a bright smile that made her even more beautiful than she already was. Her bright blue eyes sparkled like sapphires, and her pink lips parted in a radiant smile, flashing her shiny, white teeth. When she spoke, her voice was soft and warm.*
"The River Anduin flows throught the Elven Kingdom of Lorien. It is the most beautiful kingdom on Earth. Seemingly it is one day away from Paris, but you go into another dimension as soon as you reach the outskirts of the forest."

"The Elven Kingdom of Lorien," Zero repeated softly. He did not inquire about the "other dimension" bit, knowing full well that this world had been blessed--and cursed--with a diverse spectrum of fantastical creatures, inanimate objects, and places.
"What is your relation to the Kingdom of Lorien?" he asked, his curiosity piqued. "Are you its queen?"

*Dewshine looked up at him. For once she had met a person who didn't inquire about the "other dimension" bit. It seemed like he knew there were other creatures than humans in the world. She liked him even more for being so openminded, and smiled warmly to him.*
"I live in the Elven Kingdom of Lorien. My tribe, the Wolf-riders, came to Lorien after savage humans drove us away from our own land. We were well received, and now we live in our own homes there, trying to blend in among the other elves. But I am not a queen, even though I am the cousin of the chief of the Wolf-riders."
*She thought for a while.*
"I heard a ghastly story when we arrived. About the Elf king and the elf queen being murdered by humans, and that the humans now possess the throne. There has been talk about a civil war, to chase the humans away."

"Humans," Zero muttered under his breath.
"And how did you come here? Of your own accord?"

*Dewshine looked up at him and smiled.*
"Not quite. As I told you, I am a Wolf-rider. My tribe are well connected with the animals in the forest. And we use wolves to ride on. That is how I came to Paris. My wolf is completely tame, at least when it comes to me."

A muscle in Zero's jaw quivered with the sudden intensity with which he gritted his teeth.
"Animals tend to shy away from me, anyhow," he growled.
"Where is your wolf now?"

((Nice avvie )) *Dewshine smiled warmly.* "Ah, he runs around as he pleases. He only come when I need him. He has kept his freedom." *She looked up at him with glittering eyes and blushing cheeks.* "Besides, I can't imagine anyone wanting to stay away from you."

((Hee, thanks. )) Heat defiantly crawled up Zero's neck into his cheeks. The young man abruptly wheeled around so that Dewshine was facing his back. "I can think of plenty," he stated, and the cold tone of his voice was a stark contrast to the temperature of his face. A trace of bitterness stained his deep voice. "In time, you'll realize that you want to stay away from me, too. "People always do."

((You're welcome. For this post, remember that Dewshine mock out of love. )) *Dewshine looked up at him with a glimpse of surprise in her face.* "And I thought I had reasons to feel sorry for myself! What did you do, that is so horrible that people should stay away from you?" *She added more quietly.* "In that case I am glad I'm an elf."
