"Awww" he grinned and put the last cup in the rack.

"It was rather intimate," he said casually. "I'll have to keep that in mind for later."

Dan paused and tilted his head to side with a face that said HMMM, sliding his glasses off his face he began to wipe the fog that had gathered on the lenses.

"If you don't mind, of course."

"I-" he paused again "-I don't, it seems as if I don't."

"Good," said Adrian. "I've come to find I enjoy the occasional surrender of control."
He met Dan's eyes.

Dan visibly swallowed.

Adrian brushed invisible dust from his sleeve.
"Well, I'm upstairs. You may join me, if you like."

Dan raised his left eyebrow and smirked. He kept repeating the phrase gently Daniel, gently.

Adrian glanced back at him as he left the kitchen and made his way toward the stairs.

Gently Daniel, gently. He waited a minute to get himself together, to get his mind away from birds and on the current situation.
This was not how he'd planned on spending his evening. Was he upset? Absolutely not. Ab-so-lute-ly not.
He slowly moved toward the stairs, his shoulders very square, his face serious-with a smirk.

Adrian had removed his sweater and switched off his right hand, which hung limply at his side as he worked at unfastening the harness. The leather straps pressed gently into his body through his undershirt.
"I hope you don't mind that I'm still slightly spent. She's... rather good with her hands," he said delicately, "and even better at using them to maintain suspense, shall we say."
As the last of the fasteners came loose, Adrian shrugged off the harness and set it at the foot of the bed. He went into the bathroom to take out his contact lenses in front of the mirror.
As he folded out the side wings of the mirrored cabinet, he paused, examining his reflection again.

He watched in silence as Adrian went through the motions, each step a careful reminder of decisions Dan had made.
Images flashed through Dan's mind, clear enough that it made his eyes strain. He removed his glasses, setting them with a loud plop as he removed his sweater. Underneath was a pale green button up with unflattering horizontal stripes; buttoned haphazardly.
Adrian's form in the bathroom kept Dan's attention. Although details were fuzzy, he could make out his back and his forward gaze.

"Put your glasses back on, I was going to ask you if the back is even-"

Dan grabbed his glasses and smiled. It was times like these that he remembered why he loved him and why every time he should have left, he never did. It was all worth it, all of it.
He stood up and ran his hand along hairline "It looks fine, though the edges are a little rough."
He meant it was straight but messy.
