She grinned at him, but it wasn't a replica of one of Loki's by any means. It was a first bite of cherry pie with whipped cream smile that said whatever she tasted in her mouth was first clsas deliciousness, and she was letting him know it.

He laughed.
"Symbolic as it may need to be, of course. I have been busy relieving myself of quite a lot of excess assets over the last few months, and with the house nearly ready I believe I can take a drastic reduction in salary beginning next quarter."
Glancing toward Teja again, he added, "It's convincing my board of directors to do the same that's going to be the challenge."
