She smacked his hand at the first touch of it, but this was at least returning to comfortable territory - from Raoul, at any rate.
"You'll be even sorrier when I don't let you try to gratify me," she countered.

"The least you could do would be to let me make it up to you," he went on, pulling an expression of sheer woundedness and relocating his hand to higher on her outer thigh.

Nina crossed her legs, which knocked his hand off. But her expression was less guarded now, and her chest rose and fell as she took deeper breaths.
"Why don't you get out that champagne?" she suggested. "And we can negotiate it."

Despite being rebuffed, he smirked.
"Very well. There's glasses in the cabinet there, if you'll be so good--"
Silva rose briefly to retrieve a bottle from on ice, grappling with it for a while.

Nina remembered she was in her swimsuit when she stood up. She tried to behave as though she were in the dress she'd worn the night they'd met.
"Brought your glasses," she said with a smile.

Silva leaned out to snake an arm around her, a chip of ice between two fingers which he applied briskly to her inner thigh. He had known women who customarily wore much less, but Nina looked terribly defenseless and terribly brave (she likely imagined herself such simply for joining him here) and he couldn't resist the urge to tweak at her a little.

He was lucky she'd put them down, or she'd have dropped them and broken them - or more likely, broken them deliberately over his head. She gave a loud gasp, and full-bodiedly shoved him backward.

"Oh my. Nina, my dear--"
He hoped his expression of frankly lascivious impudence would distract her from the fact that he was now palming yet more ice. His gaze was thoroughly considering.

If he was unwilling to fight back she would swiftly have him on his back on the floor and pinned; Nina meant business.

Fortunately he was more than willing, and went after her with slippery and well-muscled ease.

When Nina had been in university, of course there had always been little mock fights in friend groups, and she had always been guiltily aware of what it often meant when a boy picked a mock fight with you; she had liked to feign ignorance out of a general ill ease with the notion. The boys at school hadn't appealed to her, and she had thought that if she could forcibly treat them as friends, she could forget about their other intentions. Little jokes - sometimes uncomfortably flirtatious and othertimes mocking masquerading as humor - about her always came up. 'Don't fight with Nina, she's worse than any man - you know she studies ai kido!' Nina had never fought hard, not even enough to let those boys know about the kid gloves with which she was handling them, but the jokes had always hurt.
With Silva, though, everything was different - those memories came up to her mind unbidden only to be shooed away again quickly. She was attracted to Raoul, hopelessly and forever, and moreover, though neither went at it as though they really wanted to kill each other - someone would probably die if they did - neither of them held all that much back, and it was spectacular.
By the time they were through, something had definitely broken somewhere - she thought it might have been some framed picture on the wall, but she supposed, given Raoul's temperament, it wasnt' necessarily a thing he had personally selected - and a number of things had been knocked over, and he had her pinned sharply against the side of a settee, with her arm bent behind her back.
"I yield," she moaned, followed by a sharp "ach!" Her body ached, but she felt eager and alive. She could have continued - she had her other arm free, after all - but she knew his grip on her arm would only make it hurt more. He was so fast for a man of his age, for a well-dressed man with the leisurely behavior of a lion. His breathing came in as strong as hers, and though he loosened his grip on her arm, he did not let her go, presumably as she had not asked. She didn't, either, not immediately. She tried to catch her breath and take stock of what was happening, or their surroundings - as well as, admittedly, internally twisting over the little session in her head over and over again, trying to see which of his moves she should of anticipated and how she could have countered them.
Also, she was a little into being pinned by him, and the feel of his breath, coming fast and hot on the back of her neck like that, but being as she was pinned, it was not the same as spooning and she did not have to cuddle up against him, thus vulnerably laying bare her desire for intimacy.

There was something gratifying about going at it with somebody who wanted you alive -- Nina's approach suited her nature, and he was far more sparing with her than with any man he'd ever fought since his school days, but the women with whom he had come to blows were no slouches either. She had responded with an enthusiasm just short of bone-jostling ferocity and it had been thrilling, but bringing her to yield was more thrilling still. The pulse in his throat was hammering away (likewise elsewhere in his body, poor Nina) but it was very difficult not to slip too far -- to grip too tight, to press too firmly and break the thing which he admired.
He was too spent to speak without sounding ragged, so he maintained a decorous silence for another moment, mouthing at the nape of her neck.

Nina squirmed back against him and liked how it felt. She made a contended, wordless noise.
