The place was as big as some apartments, he'd guess. As he wandered in, he noted that there were even fresh flowers on the side tables.
"Let me stay forever. I can totally stand being spoiled rotten."

John chuckled and dropped the small bag he'd kept with him on the bed.
He went to the curtains and threw them open "Jesus."

He wandered over to take in the view. London was a mix of old and new like Paris, but unlike Paris which clashed horribly at times, it seemed to be in a balanced and complimentary way.
"I'm gonna like it here."

John smiled.
The city had changed, yet somehow managed to stay exactly the same.
Although the last time he'd seen the city in this way he was sleeping on a rooftop with a boy he could barely remember.

He stretched. His muscles had cramped up a bit for sitting for such a long time on the plane. He wasn't really used to staying put like that. Then he also yawned.
"Jeez. You'd think I ran a marathon or something."

"Mmm" John nodded, still looking out in to the city "why don't you lay down, I can order some room service."

"Don't mind if I do," he said, turning to the bed and flopping over onto it. He looked startled for a moment when it rippled, then laughed.
"It's a waterbed!"

"Well then" John smiled "that will take a little to get used to."

"I don't think I ever slept on one before. I sat on one, but none of the sleeping."

"Ah bet" he went over to the phone and dialed down to the kitchen. He ordered something simple, a couple sandwiches and some drinks.

László was feeling too lazy to take his boots off, but at the same time didn't want to track dirt on the bedsheets. As a compromise, he let his feet stick out over the side.
"Hey, you think we'll be able to see the coronation of the new Queen? That'd be pretty neat."

"Absolutely" John stood at the end of the bed and began unlacing Laszlo's boots "it's kind of historic after all."

"I've never seen something like that before. Sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime thing."
There were elections, but that was completely different. There was still pomp when you elected a president or a prime minister, sure, but nothing like a King or Queen.

"Neither have I" he laughed as he dropped the boots to the floor and tickled Laszlo's feet quickly before heading in to the bathroom to wash up.

László wiggled his toes, though he stayed were he was when John walked away. He was on the edge of falling asleep, but was still a bit too excited to do that, and was trying to fight the urge off.
"Wonder what I should eat first here..."
