Lucy had arrived by carriage, wondering all the while where the address on the slip of paper that the girl had given her would lead to. She was not expecting a place like this.
"Is this right?" She asked the driver.
The driver rattled off the address correctly and nodded.
"Exactly right, Miss."
Wide-eyed, she paid the man and stepped out, slowly approaching the front doors. It couldn't be right. Could it?

Matthew was alone in the estate.
He'd left the hotel in hopes of regaining his drive.
He's been in Paris for over a year now and found nothing. No signs, no clue, no information at all, pertaining to the whereabouts of his sister Lucy.
His family, sadly, had decided to head back to London for a while. They'd been caught up with his mission to find her, but never truly had the time to help.
Staring outside his office window he watched as carriage pulled up in the drive, blinking, he figured it was just a package or a letter or something odd arriving for his mother from some aunt somewhere.

Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door. It was quiet for a few moments, and she was just about to lose her nerve when a servant girl answered.
"Yes, miss?"
"I'm, uh...I'm here to see Mr. Harris."
"Who may I say is calling?"
Here it goes...easy on, Luce...
"Lucy Harris."
The servant obviously didn't recognize her, although the name was familiar. The girl nodded.
"All right, miss, you can wait inside while go up and tell him."
Lucy stood in the foyer, fiddling with a little coin purse as the girl went upstairs. The moment of truth.

A knock came at his office door, he didn't turn to see who it was "Yes?"
"Sir, there's a woman here to see you."
"Who is it?"
"She says her name is Lucy Harris, I thought it was-"
But the girl didn't have time to finish her sentence, as Matthew was running as fast as his feet could carry him to the foyer.
It didn't take long before he was standing at the top of the steps.
Breathless he managed out a "Lucy"

She quickly glanced up, and--
Oh my god.
Had it been so long? How many years had past, since she'd last seen him? Weren't the boy she faintly recalled in her memory, anymore.
"M...Matty?"
That old nickname came back almost easily, as though she'd never stopped using it.

Before he knew it, he was running down the stairs, tears streaming down his face, and he was holding her, as if she would disappear at any moment.
"I've been looking for you for so long!"

It was incredible, is what it was, and so overwhelming--of all the good fortune she'd had recently, finding family was one bit of luck that she hadn't even thought of. She'd always assumed that was beyond her.
Lucy threw her arms around him, laughing and crying at the same time.

Reaching up he grabbed her face, his smile as wide as it possibly could be "H-h-how, did you, my god."

"A girl, in the Moulin Rouge, she told me how to find you...I didn't believe her, but after a while, I thought, why not see? If it's true it's true and if it's not then I don't lose nothin'."
She was babbling, it was mostly a reaction to the rush of emotion she was under. Nothing like this had happened in all the years she'd lived out on the streets.
Nothing so hopeful, not since Henry, and not since his disappearance took that first glimmer of happiness away.

"The-The Moulin Rouge?" He looked at her, realizing just exactly what that meant, with a look of sadness "What was the girls name?"

"...Madison, I think? Why? D'you know her?"

He smiled, broader this time, a new set of tears marking his face and pulled her back in to his arms "Just a girl I know, not a worry, god" he squeezed her again and finally let her go, but took her hand.
"Let me show you around, we've got so many things to talk about."

"Awwright." She said, holding his hand.
When was the last time she'd just held someone's hand? Friends, family? Too many years.

With a grin he headed toward the kitchen "I'm afraid I'm the only one home at the moment, mother and father headed back to London, there were things needed to be taken care of there. I-" he stopped a moment "they no longer believed you to be in Paris, I never gave up hope, but after so many days of searching... you can understand."

"That's okay. I figured if nobody knows how to find me I'll take care of myself. Done right good at it, too." She said proudly.
She shrunk, though, just a little.
"Dunno about mum and dad. I...maybe just you for now's enough."
