"If that's what you want, I won't contact them just yet" he squeezed her hand and went in to the kitchen "hungry?"
It was a huge elaborate set up, larger than most living areas.
Although it looked like it had never been used before.

"Er...no."
Her stomach wasn't settled enough to even think about it. And also: she did not, at all, recall her family ever living like this.
"Um. S'it always like this?"

"Yes, b-but it hasn't always been like this" he smiled "you were so young when you left, you must only remember the bad times huh?"

"Eh? I have good times all over the place. My friends and all the fun and all the singing and dancing."
Lucy did not think of her life as being a terrible or hard one. In her mind, it was just the way it was supposed to be, no more or less. It didn't occur to her that other people might feel about it.
((Oh god she's so different from László it's ridiculous.))

((She's so adorable))
"I want to know everything about you, everything you want me to know that is, and- and I want you to stay here. Live here if you want."

"Ohh...dunno where to start! Singing's always been there, always been good, or that's what people said. It got me a job at the tavern--was in London, that one. For a long time. Didn't think I'd end up being the lead singer!"
Wow, she hadn't thought of the Dregs in ages. It'd been years since she'd even seen the place.
I wonder what Nellie's up to?

"That's wonderful" he smiled and sat down on the counter "do you still sing?"

Lucy picked one of the stools that stood around the counter and sat.
"Oh, yeah. I don't need the money anymore really, thanks to Henry."
The name brought a stab of regret, but she pushed on.
"But I do it 'cuz it's my favorite thing. Can find me singing at the Moulin Rouge."

He forced a smile.
His baby sister, working at the Moulin Rogue.
"That's both wonderful and, if you do not mind me saying, tragic."

"Whattaya mean? Thanks to the fortune I got now I only hafta sing now instead of what used to be. I just go there 'cuz it's fun and because I don't have anything else to do."

"It's just unfortunate that such talent is wasted on drunks and Johns" he chuckled, but quickly added "not that there's anything wrong with that kind of life of course, if you enjoy doing it, than do it, it's your life not mine."
He didn't want to offend her so quickly after finally finding her, he could do that way to easily sometimes.

"S'why I go." She said with a shrug.
"They wouldn't get that kinda thing if I didn't. Nobody'd let 'em into the more respectable places. They should have a chance to hear nice music, too."
