"I know what you mean--some girls get so lost in stories they forget that the whole point of writing is to celebrate living!"
A pause, and a mischievous smile. "But I think there's a story behind there." Ellie giggled. "Do tell."
She wasn't sure if she should talk about Tony, but if Nattie asked, Ellie would tell. She wasn't exactly secretive, and there wasn't too terribly much to tell.
"Unless you don't want to! I know we've known each other all of a quarter hour, and if it's private I understand."

"Oh! I've heard of them. His sister just got married to that American, right? A little older than us? Some people say there's a scandal behind it, but I think it's terribly romantic the way they found each other again."
Of course now she was off-topic. A pause, and then a grin. "Is he as handsome as they say he is?"

She normally didn't speak of Nicki to people, as they always asked questions they all ready knew the answer to. But, as Ellie was her new roommate and she seemed trustworthy enough, Nattie figured it couldn't hurt.
"I'd say he'd think so" she chuckled "his sister and her husband are delightful people, the rumors attached to them are not being deserved. The bad one's at least."

Ellie smiled in response.
"How wonderful... you don't meet a lot of gentlemen in the countryside of Cornwall, unfortunately." She shrugged. "Or I could share something of my own."

"Sounds much like home" she agreed "Russian men aren't exactly the book romances."
