"I have no reservations when it comes to my life mademoiselle, I do not enjoy this curse as you may imagine I do. No clever lie could match the life that I actually lead."
He didn't release his hands from his coat, standing almost frozen in the alley.

Michelle frowned. Like clockwork, these situations played the same exact way every time--she'd been right, about vamps (or the wolves) telling her she was foolish, always having a fight on her hands, sometimes a chase. The night would end with her tired from a lot of running and a good number of bullets shorter than when she started out. This bizarre acceptance from what she collectively thought of as "the monsters" had her monetarily ground to a halt. "You surprise me--which a compliment, you should know. Very little surprises me these days. My hat's off to you." The gun aimed at his head wavered a moment, as though uncertain. She wasn't used to targets doing things like this. Slowly, she squeezed back on the trigger...on the one aimed at his chest, the other still wavering. ((I leave the outcome up to you! ))

Louis stumbled back as the bullet hit him square in the chest, falling against a mound of trash cans.
It was pain, yes, but not pain as he'd felt as a man.
He looked up at her, his face a mass of confusion "Do you aim only to maim me? As you know that will not work."

She glared down at the gun, knowing full well that the weapon had nothing to do with her failing. She leveled both weapons at him again, staring at him where he'd fallen.
"No, it's..."
What? What was it?
"Damn you." She murmured. "Stop looking pathetic. It makes it difficult."

Somehow, his face seemed to grow even more solemn, "I do apologize" he felt his wound began to heal and went to his knee's "you may wish to aim higher" the shell from the bullet fell from his chest.

Cursing, she put up one of the guns, keeping one out and aiming it in a harmless direction looking like a movie cop.
"Son of a bitch," she hissed, mostly to herself. "What are you? You look like a vamp and have their traits, but you sure as hell don't act like one."

"As I've been told" he looked at the ground.
((Louis you melodramatic bitch.))

((Lol))
She frowned at him. Just what, exactly, was his deal? Every strange creature she'd met since coming to this bizarre world had had an extremely high opinion of themselves. Arrogant as hell, vampires in particular, although that one werepanther had been exceptionally full of himself. Well, until she shot him.
"I can't imagine other vampires being any more impressed than I am."

"No, they find me-" he pondered the word in his brain for a moment before saying it "funny. It seems a creature of the night that does not find his new life to be quite what he was told it was, is a joke in their world. They cling to this new life like a bat to the night, but I- it has yet to change me nor my view of the world."
He looked up, still quite solemn "Many wish to take advantage of that it seems, they find me young, naive and believe they can change my opinions of becoming what I am. Some even find it-" he frowned "-alluring."

"Hmm."
The situation seemed a bit unreal--she never would have imagined standing in an ally chatting up a vampire before.
"So, you avoid them?"
If they treated him the way it sounded, it would make sense.

"The best I can, but they seem to find me" he slowly began to rise, but it was obvious to anyone that his intentions were only to stand.

She smirked.
"They tend to do that."

"It's difficult" he finally stood and dusted himself, still weary of her weaponry "I've left all that I've known in Paris in an attempt to stay away from the ones that I know as well as the ones that want me."

"You might be disappointed. I've been here long enough to learn that London's problems are just as bad as Paris'."

He frowned, although it was hard to see "I understand that, but these monsters are not aware of me and I do not plan staying long, I'm drifting as it seems."
He finished dusting his coat off and sighed.
