"I'm not, hmm? You don't know me as well as you think you do, if that's what you say."
He poked Louis' arm.
"Now, you should try it."

"I-" he was still gathering his senses when he nodded "a moment if you will."
He closed his eyes, trying to remember the exact way it felt when Daniel looked in to his eyes, trying with all his might to become a hypnotist within seconds.
He turned his head slowly and opened his eyes and started in to Daniels.

At first he didn't feel anything, and then a faint sensation, as though someone was gently pushing against him. It wasn't powerful, and Daniel wasn't about to fall down in a faint, but it was working.
"That's good for a first try. It'd probably be stronger on a human, I would say."
This was definitely interesting. He'd never tried testing out powers like this, and he was rather enjoying it.

Louis exhaled and smiled "Thank you."

"I'd practice it on humans, though. You'll never know how good it's going if you only target me." He said with a grin.
"So...what did you mean when you said that it made you feel human? I'm not sure I quite understand that."

"As a vampire, I've felt nothing but despair since I turned, and even then it felt, cold. For the first time since then I felt warmth, I can't explain it."

No, Daniel could not understand what Louis said about vampirism, but he knew that trying to convince him that it was otherwise would only end with the other in tears. Daniel wasn't very good with crying people.
"Huh. I wonder if it would be different a second time, or not."
Yes, he was trying to get Louis to let him do it again, if only because it was a rather novel feeling, being in control of another vampire like that.

Louis wasn't sure how he felt about that idea "What if it leaves lasting effects? I don't know how I would feel about falling in love with you."

Daniel laughed.
"I really don't think that's how it works. You can turn the effects off, you know. Well, the one who started them can. And I wouldn't keep you that way."
Even if it would be tempting, he wouldn't really want Louis in love with him, either.

"Well thank god, I guess then there isn't any harm in it."

Besides, I'm sure Alex would have a fit if you started extolling your love for me.
Not to mention Lestat's reaction to it.
He didn't change it, simply did it the same way he had the first time.

Louis felt the same thing as before, no change, he pushed himself not to move from the spot, for fear of whatever it was that his mind wanted him to do.

It really was different on a vampire, though the difference was surprisingly subtle.
He leaned in, tapping Louis on the shoulder.
"Still with me?"

Shaking his head he blinked "I er, yes I am sorry, just got lost for a moment."

"That's really something. I don't think I'd get tired of this."
