Louis lead Daniel in to the opera house with a very dark look. No one noticed them enter and head to the dorms, they never did.
There were always plenty of empty rooms and Louis spent some days there hiding from the world, but mostly Lestat.
Lestat found the opera boring and Louis allowed him to believe that he too didn't care for it. So Lestat never looked there for him.

Daniel didn't come here very often. Not that he didn't like the opera, but his travels in general never took him by here. He didn't actively avoid it or seek it out.
"A bit...too off the beaten path, isn't this?"

"No" Louis shook his head and opened the door "in fact the whole world could find us here if they wanted."

"In the dusty back rooms of an opera house that hasn't had much activity." He said dryly.
"Certainly."
He walked into the room, which was rather bare itself save for a few pieces of furniture.

Louis frowned and closed the door behind them "You wouldn't understand, no matter how barren this place becomes, it will always be the center of the world for Paris."

Daniel sighed.
"In any case, I still don't know how I'm supposed to do this. It's...I just do."
Though now he wondered if it would work on another vampire...maybe one that was younger than him...

"Just, treat me as you would treat... them."
The idea scared Louis and he prayed Daniel would find another way.

He very briefly smirked at Louis' choice of words, before focusing on the request before him.
"I did wonder if it would work on a vampire. I suppose it might, if they're younger than me."
He eyed Louis thoughtfully. By Daniel's timeline, Louis was several hundred years old. But this one, he was a baby still, wasn't he?
"It might work on you..." He said thoughtfully. Well, why not? If it didn't work, then it didn't.
He met Louis' eyes, trying to roll him under like he'd done to several humans before. A vampire mind was a very different thing.

Louis suddenly felt his mind give up on his body, he wanted to fall to the floor, he wanted to fall in to Daniel.

Seeing the look on Louis' face, he moved swiftly, he catching him in his arms before the other man fell to the floor.
"I take this as a yes."

"That-" he fell back out of Daniels arms on to a couch and closed his eyes "I- Daniel, I almost felt human. I felt- I felt..."

He sat next to Louis, genuinely intrigued.
"Yes?"

"Like I wanted to give myself to you, without regret, without second thought" he stared at Daniel "it was strang, for that moment, my brain told me that I loved you." He shook his head "Although I don't believe our kind could fall in love, we don't have the heart for it."

There was a flicker in his eyes, a momentary thought of a certain woman, but then it was gone again.
"Think as you will." He said simply.
"But, that's rather interesting. I never really knew what the effects were--though it's not as though I asked any of the people I used it on what it felt like."

Louis actually laughed "I imagine you wouldn't" he looked down at the ground, tapping his toes softly "You aren't that cruel."
