As the carriage pulled to a hault Itsuki again popped out to help Michelle out of it. It was easy to get in to, but getting out was another thing.

She stepped down, craning her neck to take it the sight of the opera house when she was on firm ground.
No, there was nothing like this back home. Nothing even remotely came close. Something this intricate, this detailed...
She stared, perhaps longer than she'd intended, before turning to Kisaragi with an uncharacteristically soft expression.
"Such things as this, I didn't know they existed."

"Well here, they do, in fact there are hundreds of landmarks to visit in Paris. The Eiffel Tower, The Arc de Triomphe, The Louvre..."

"They simply don't exist in my world." She said sadly.
Realizing how she sounded, she shoved all of that back and was her usual, neutral self again.
"Let us see this one, first."

Of course Itsuki gave a couple historical facts about the opera house, plays that had made it famous, etc. As they came up to the great doors Itsuki felt something might strong, the same feeling he had always got when he came to the opera house.
It was magical in more ways that one.

The sheer amount of things to take in made it so that Michelle said very little, and instead spent most of her time silently absorbing everything there was to see. One would have to come back here several times to catch everything that there was for the eyes to focus on.

"Personally, for as monumental as the opera house is, the inside is a bit gaudy. The old century tapestries and the red, but what's my opinion amongst thousands?"

Being used to drab gray-and-black, blocky buildings, Michelle didn't quite see what he meant.
"I don't know...I like how colorful it is."

"Well the whole city is like this, at least the rich districts are."

"Of course, we'll be going through them to get to some places, and you'll be able to see the whole city from the top of the tower."

"Perfect."
As she walked along, she'd also been doing a mental tally of all the places one could use to hide in this place. The number was rather impressive.

Itsuki tried to make the historical things sound interesting, but only ended up sounding like a teacher. It didn't really matter either way he wasn't sure that Michelle could even hear him over her aww.

"Interesting that it survived through so much turmoil." She mused, having had heard what he was saying.
