"Things back home weren't as lucky. I think they destroyed everything beautiful long before I was born."

"That is quite unfortunate" Itsuki replied.

She nodded.
"My home...things have been bad for a very, very long time."

"What happened?" He asked genuinely interested.

"A lot of the old histories are lost...these were in times before the technology was as good as what I'd left behind. We only have sketchy details, but historians are certain that a great cosmic catastrophe hit home--it destroyed much, and we were forced to rebuild."
Her tone was more like a storyteller than that of a teacher's.
"It took a very long time, but things were never the same as they once were. We could read about it, what histories we could find, but how long gone it was. Though, it was never discovered just what it was that destroyed everything."

"That's just terrible! I don't know how I'd be able to live without history."

"Ah, yes. I suppose I've gotten used to it. But here now, you can tell me about this place. I can hear about history I never had."

Her reply made Itsuki very sad, it wasn't a feeling he was used to. He was either presumptuous or fine. Really there wasn't anything else he felt, maybe annoyance or aggravated, but there was no sadness, no happiness. So needless to say, he was upset. "I, er of course" so he continued as they came in to the auditorium."
