((Oh, Adrian. Sometimes, he is the biggest buzzkill since Buzz Killington.))
He folded his arms across his chest, as if he wanted to make as little contact with even the air in this room as possible.

Adrien gave him now a slightly sad look, although it was more puzzled than anything else. He was drying the dishes with a discolored, though clean, lace-fringed piece of linen that for some reason was in the towel drawer. "Would you like to sit?"

"Is there a place to?" Adrian asked, somewhat coldly.

((THOUSANDTH POST!! )) Adrien stared back at him, perhaps for the first time becoming aware of Adrian's disposition. "Of course," he said, a little stammeringly, as though confused. "It's - it's over there." The couch was quite visible beneath a couple of dresses; it wasn't hidden from sight, anyway.

He sat, and waited for Adrien to join him, and as usual gave off the impression that he was enthroned rather than just seated.

Adrien put on water for tea and then obliged, curling up slightly on the couch next to him as though it had occurred to him to wrap his leg around Adrian's waist and he'd just decided not to. He had glanced over his shoulder first, to ask Adrian what kind of tea he wanted, but he decided it could wait for when the water had boiled. Whether this was because Adrian looked godlike, and therefore begged to be adored and now, or because Adrian looked aloof and therefore uncomfortable, was anyone's guess.

Adrian watched with one eyebrow raised as another cat jumped down from the counter and padded past them, pausing to shed a few gingery hairs on his trousers as it rubbed by.

And Adrien tilted his head against Veidt's arm to smile up at him adoringly, wrapping his arms around him further and teasingly tracing his fingertips over his chest. "You look good in black," Adrien near-whispered.
Divine, setting about finishing with her nails, shot them a very obvious sideways smile that Adrien missed completely.

"Thank you," Adrian whispered back, finally deigning to at least put an arm around Adrien's shoulders.

There was the faintest high giggle from Divine as though she wanted to say something very much and had to stifle however she felt. Adrien again failed to notice, shutting his eyes and leaning forward with a smile on his lips to nuzzle against Adrian's throat, hand dropping to the waistline. His thumb traced over Adrian's belt buckle suggestively, as though his palm would much rather be rubbing against something else.

"Have you lived... here long?"
He made the prospect said extremely unpleasant.

And Adrien didn't notice.
"Ummm," said Adrien, the mm part of it considerably drawn out, unsurprising given his suggestive posture. "Mm-hmm. I stayed here a bit when I was sixteen, and I came back a few months ago."
He glanced over in Divine's direction, barely, and she nodded graciously to accede.

"And in between...?"

"...Elsewhere."
Adrien's hand slipped into Adrian's lap with as much an attempt at surreptitiousness as Adrian's getting his coat.

Adrian very gently steered the boy's hand away, but his face was kind.
