Adrien smiled genuinely. "Well then," he said, "where's the cost-effective zipper at?" He slid his hands over Adrian's body a little too neatly and fluidly to convincingly use the question as an excuse.

"Such things are typically kept in the back..."
He moved the cape over one arm to expose the back of the costume.

Adrien slipped around him to undo it. Zippers were such funny things. His mother's clothing - what he could remember of it - there hadn't been any zippers on that. He leaned in to press a kiss against the back of Adrian Veidt's neck as his bare skin was exposed.

The cloak slid away with one section of the neckplate, and the gloves were peeled off.

It hadn't occurred to Adrien to actually clarify what they were doing. Logically, he was just helping Veidt out of his costume. But he tugged off his tie and tossed it onto the floor with the cloak, shrugged off his jacket, and stepped around the soft pile of clothing to stand in front of Veidt again, sliding his hands over his body as he did so, almost wonderingly as opposed to suggestively, although there could be no doubt about his intentions nor the sensuality of his manner of touching.
There was something similar in the manner in which Adrien touched Veidt's chest to the way Veidt sometimes gazed at him - as though he were admiring something at a distance, something that one could not have passion for. But this impression disappeared shortly. He leaned forward and kissed him on the mouth, dropping his hands to - nimbly, rather unchastely - undo the belt.

"Are you happy here?" he asked as their lips parted and his hands came to rest on the boy's hips.

"Mm-hm," said Adrien softly with a half-nod, tilting his head again as though going to kiss him again, the fringe of his eyelashes heavy. Then it occurred to him that this was a bit strange, and his brows knit in confusion, and he tried to pull back enough to look Veidt in the face, beginning to part his lips to ask him why he'd said that.

"I said, are you happy here?" said Veidt, a man used to being answered.

"I said mm-hm," said Adrien, tilting his head again and blinking. A bit drowsy from pleasure, it was a little like trying to clear the mind after having been asleep, particularly if one would rather sink back into the sheets again and go back to dreaming. "But why?"

"I understand that it's something of an unorthodox situation, and you may be... uncomfortable."

He pushed his fingers through Adrian Veidt's hair, tracing it over it. "I'm really happy," he said honestly, it not occurring to him to say otherwise. He hadn't even thought about it, but he was. The gravity of just how happy he was struck him sort of suddenly. It showed on his face, in his thoughtful expression.

"I worry, is all, given the situation-"

"Mm, the situation?" He didn't quite follow. Did he mean with Adrien stopping by like this after hours? He continued caressing Veidt's hair and gently shook his head, not understanding.

((500th post! ADRIAN VEIDT IS A HUGE BIT OF SUENESS.
....like we didn't already know.))
Adrien slid his arms around Veidt's neck, drawing him a bit closer. He kissed him on the cheek respectfully, although not reservedly. It was as though it was the only method of showing affection or reassurance he deemed proper with a man like Veidt.
"I'm really happy here," he said, in an unconsciously hushed voice, as he pulled back. His eyelids were heavy again. "A lot... happier than I've been... before."
The sluggishness, the languor, of the words was due to there being an air of the confession about them. He had not thought about it like this, but it wasn't hard to see it was true. God, he'd been with Roger Marchetti before, hadn't he? Veidt wouldn't have had to be half-god - and he was - in order to be an improvement.
