Well she did have a nice voice. Mozart stood up and squinted his eyebrows "We said wait your damn turn, before we have you escorted out of here! I won't eve pretend to know you exist until you wait, your, turn." He hated diva's. "Rachel, please." ((Sorry they're being so mean, but you can see why ))

*Rachel really, really tried her best to hold back the 'hmph' that came spouting forth, but alas, she couldn't. With her head held high and back straightened, she took a cleansing breath, nodded then began singing.* ((Begins at 1:48. The actually aria starts after the heartbreaking recitative.))

Mozart was on his feet clapping "Brava Mademoiselle, BRA-VA!"

*It took her a few moments to snap out of the sadness of the aria but when she did, she beamed and blushed.*
"Mille grazie, maestro!" *she said happily, curtsying briefly. It was hard but she managed to keep herself from squealing at the fact that THE Mozart approved of her singing.*

He jogged over to her and placed a soft arm around her shoulders and whispered very lightly "I do believe that Herr Beethoven enjoyed you even more than I did" he winked "and I do believe we have the perfect part for you."
As they returned to her seat, he pulled a script out of his pocket and slyly handed it to her.

*Ophelia clapped madly, grinning, and motioned for Rachel to come back and sit next to her.*

"Wow, thank you!" *she said as she took the script enthusiastically but politely nonetheless.*
I can't believe this...
*Grinning widely, she hurried over to the seat next to Ophelia's and plopped down.*
"You and I are going to be in an opera together!" *she said in an excited whisper.*

Emza huffed again and turned around, stomping off and sitting in the back of the room.
((Yeah, I know why they're so mean.))

Ludwig had been gritting his teeth, trying not to say what he was really thinking when Mozart stepped in. It was probably best that his associate had spoken up instead of him--Beethoven's temper was rather infamous.
Wolfgang was right about Rachel--Beethoven's smile was the sort one would expect from a proud teacher than simply a spectator. She'd be perfect for that role.

Mozart swooned in to his chair and squealed out a "Neeeeexxxxxt!!!!11!!!"

*Ophelia stood. The audition was merely a formality, but it was always a good idea to avoid the impression of favor. She smiled genuinely when she reached the stage and stood at the center, comfortable as if she were practicing.* "The Mad Scene from Bellini's I Puritani." *She announced, closing her eyes a moment to prepare before singing.*

Mozart almost swooned, she was better than he had originally thought and he knew he had made the right decision. He looked over at Ludwig with a dreamy look "Wonderful."

He flashed a professional grin at Mozart, and, when nobody was looking, glanced from Ophelia to Wolfgang and waggled his eyebrows as if to say "you liiiiiike her."

Catching Ludwig's meaning he pressed a hand to his forehead and fluttered his eyebrows, before laughing shrilly.

*Ophelia giggled at that noise he made, pressing a hand to her mouth lightly.*
"What was that noise, Wolfgang? One would doubt you appreciated music at all."
