Buffy shuddered at the thought of reading Yager's mind. What came out of his mouth was bad enough.
"You wouldn't believe the things people think about you when they think you're not listening," she agreed, and sighed, because she'd thought she was done with libraries.

"Now, to find something about demons..."
Yager was quite careful to stay in the middle of aisle and not to touch anything. He'd had enough angry female vampires for one day.

"Some extremely apalling things, at times." He said in response to Buffy.
Krolock drifted over to one section in particular, one that held all of the more esoteric books in his collection.
"Hmmm...could you describe those demons?"

Buffy hated describing demons. Giles always made her feel so stupid, because, seriously, they all sorta looked alike.
"Um... tall, oozy, with spines, and pointy... ear-things. I think they were blueish."

"You were attacked by a slimy Nightcrawler?!"
"I don't think that will narrow it down much..." Yager said, frowning.
The vampire hunter didn't know all that much about demons, but he was pretty sure a lot of them fell into the spiny, tall, oozy, pointy-ear-thingies category.
"Did they try to do anything other than... slime you? Were they after something? Special powers?"

Buffy shrugged.
"How should I know?" she said. "They were demons. They attacked."

"This is just the sort of thing you keep saying... and so far, you haven't been right much." Yager rolled his eyes.
"So... I suggest we start reading?" Yager didn't think even Belle could take in enough detail to have 'gooey and blueish' as enough to go on.

((And here I'm picturing some random monster from the Godzilla movies))
"Hmmm...I'm not familiar with that one, but how many gooey, blue, spiny demons can there be?"
He glided over to a far bookcase, one that had some of the more obscure bits of lore.

((And here I'm not picturing anything, just saying random stuff.))
Buffy briefly stuck her tongue out at Yager.
"I don't know, but if you're anything like Giles, you'll make me look at lots of pictures."
This prompted mixed feelings in her; she missed Giles, would never get over his rejection of her. At the same time... Books were boring.

This time Yager did bump into something, or rather someone, but softly and deliberatley as he nudged the count.
"Do either of us look like a 'Giles'?" he wispered, looking genuinly concerned by the implication.

"Hmmm?"
It took him a moment to realize what Yager was talking about, as he'd been focusing on the books in front of him.
"Oh, I believe she means her Watcher."

"Ooh... she means her Watcher." Yager nodded, picking up a book and leafing through a couple of pages before leaning towards the count again.
"What's a Watcher? Because someone who just... well, watches... is about as useful as a Grigory... and those things really aren't all that useful, trust me. I've met them."
Yager was of the opinion that angels on the whole weren't very useful... mostly they just bitched and complained a lot, even more than the average emo vampire.

"Guys. I can hear you," Buffy said, pointing at her own ear. "Vampire now, remember? A Watcher... well, yes, he watches. But he also does other stuff. He's like... the Slayer's trainer. Like in Rocky, only with more tweed and drinks a lot of tea."

Krolock had re-focused on the shelf, though he was still listening to Buffy.
"Indeed. I only that little bit, I'm afraid--I'm not entirely familiar with that side of things."
He said it with some amusement, slowly walking along the aisle, scanning the spines of the books for the one he was looking for.

"Riiight," Buffy said slowly. "Because I probably shouldn't be giving away, you know, all our secrets. Still," she shrugged, "I guess I'm evil now."
