No. Violins remind me of you; perhaps the last time I saw one of those and the circumstances were right to muse on it. Certain books and plays- I remember you reading me them in the theatre. And you know, a vampire's memory can be so potent that I can even recall the sound of your voice or whether or not it cold outside.
(( I can tell. Quite a turn-around, hmm? ))

I am going to the library tomorrow night and printing this out. I want to be able to look at that whenever I think on it. You know, Armand, I understand why your Daniel says that everyone falls in love with you everywhere you go. I'm in love with you.

Are you certain?

Oh, you make me laugh.
Of course.

Don't be surly, Armand. Of course I do. Did you ever doubt it? Isn't it apparent?

It's been a very long time, Nicolas, but I do believe you. You're in a good mood, aren't you?

Oh, enormously. Enormously. Everything you say is charming. Well, you're always charming, but sometimes to the point of annoyance, depending on how I feel. I love you and I love that you're the only one I know who can put me in a good mood.

I had no idea I wielded such power. I'll have to be very good about it.
You can't have been alone all this time.

I haven't, not all of it. But I haven't seen Eleni in decades and there hasn't been anything serious since then. I have a hard time keeping track of all these 21st century vampires - they vanish so quickly. I've been more alone than you. What a turnaround that is.

Indeed. I'm surprised at you.

Well, of course, at me, that's one thing. You can't blame anyone else, can you? You've tried to live with me.

It wasn't difficult when you were not being difficult. Could I have traded you for Santiago I would have done so in a heartbeat.
And so you have learned to be self-sufficient.

I've never been incapable of self-sufficiency. At least, not to my knowledge. Maybe the ability to care. Hmm. I am much better at being incognito, if that's what you mean.
I almost wish you could have. By the time I remembered anything, the theater was all cinders.

Yes. I haven't heard anything like a vampire-related death spree in ages.
