Tsuzuki hesitated. He hated hospitals, and wouldn't even be here if he hadn't felt some strange shiver outside as he passed. He'd been too bored to resist, but now he was regretting it. Whatever it was- actually- it had come from in here. But it was gone now, he could tell that much. If Hisoka were here he would know. (But it was fortunate the young empath was not, for he probably wouldn't like the taste of Hedonism in his own mind.)
Instead, there was this man- and Tsuzuki was no doctor, and he usually had no need for medical attention since his body healed itself momentarily after the incident, but he at least knew how to tie a bandage. He stepped further into the room, casting about for a roll of them, then approached Sylar.
"Ah, my name is Tsuzuki- please, let me see- "

"Pleased to meet you, Tsuzuki. I'm Noah." It fit as well as any other name, and better than most.
Sylar - "Noah" - lifted himself up and turned so that Tsuzuki could access the mess at the back of his head. "I don't know what happened. I was already in here visiting a friend. We were just leaving when there was a flash of pain, then I woke up here alone."
His face was sore, too, but he was sure it wouldn't be bruised yet.

Tsuzuki didn't touch the wound, only peered at it. He had no idea what to do- maybe he should go get a doctor. He'd only stopped because Sylar had cried out. He didn't even want to put the bandages on it- it was one thing to wrap himself up, if a wound was so big it couldn't heal in a couple of minutes, but he was afraid he'd hurt Sylar if he tried anything.
And it was such a mess of blood he could barely see anything. Well, but the weird feeling he had came from this room- maybe whatever it was had hurt the guy. He wasn't showing any signs of being affected by anything supernatural, just a normal concussion.
He realized belatedly that Noah had likely given him his first name, and that Tsuzuki hadn't fully introduced himself. Ah, well. Westerners called each other by their first name, and it would have been strange for Tsuuki to be called 'Asato' by a veritable stranger.
"I don't think this looks very good. Isn't there supposed to be a call button in hospitals?" A pause, as Tsuzuki leaned away from Sylar a little, peering at the bloody bed. His nose crinkled; he looked both uneasy and disgusted. "Is this all yours?"
He glanced back at the wound on Sylar's head, as if surprised so much blood could come from one place. His eyes widened, then narrowed in confusion. Hadn't it been bigger...?

Sylar started to shake his head, but stopped himself. "No, it's not all mine. There was a woman in here, before. She was giving birth. Most of the blood is hers. As for the call button, there is one, but it doesn't work." He'd spotted it earlier, but known immediately that it was broken. Even if Intuitive Aptitude hadn't told him, common sense would have - no-one had answered it when Mohinder and those people had been locked in.

Tsuzuki, distracted, didn't answer. He only made an agreeing little hum under his breath, instead leaning forward to peer at Sylar's head again. It was very hard to tell under all that blood, but...

The last of the confusion clears up, and Sylar jerks away from Tsuzuki's inspection. "You know, I'm fine. Go on. It was nowhere near as bad as I thought at first, I was just being a wuss. You shouldn't have to coddle some hypochondriac stranger." He smiles in what he hopes is a sheepishly charming manner, manauvering to keep Tsuzuki from realising that the wound is almost healed.

"Eh? Are you sure...?" Tsuzuki was looking at him dubiously, and not at Sylar's smile.

"Seriously, I'm fine. Thank you for your concern, and your help, but I'm fine now. I'm just gonna go - clean up." In his haste to escape, Sylar got himself tangled in the thin sheet and tripped straight into Tsuzuki.

Tsuzuki blanched and tried to catch the falling man, but he hadn't exactly been prepared for it and they both went down. Tsuzuki hit the floor with an audible 'oof!' and a wince, but on the positive side, having Sylar fall more or less on top of him gave him an excellent view of the wound on Sylar's head.
Which...was not there anymore. Even the dried and flaking blood couldn't hide that.
"Sorry, sorry- " he babbled, trying to get up, until his eyes caught up with his brain. He stopped. "Are you...what are you?" Wary, and surprised, but Tsuzuki didn't seem terribly phased to have encountered what he thought was another supernatural creature.

Sighing heavily, Sylar pushed himself up and leaned casually against the nearest wall. "I," he drawled, inspecting his fingernails, "Am the next step up the evolutionary ladder." He smirked down at Tsuzuki, who hadn't moved yet. "I'm special."
He debated killing the man, but decided to hold off for now. He was no kind of threat as things stood. If he tried to tell anyone, that would be different, but there was no reason he absolutely had to die, and if Sylar hoped to win Mohinder over he should probably cut down on the murdering. It bothered him, for some reason.

Tsuzuki's face was very expressive in its emotions; confusion, disbelief, a mild curiousity as to whether this man was as egotistical as he sounded, things like that. Finally he stood, forgetting to be wary as was his wont- oh, he would have gotten such a tongue-lashing from Tatsumi for not retreating to a safe distance, not treating this man as dangerous, but Tsuzuki had thought at first maybe this was the French division of Shinigami, or one of the American branch. (He did sound American, his speech heavy and blunt where Tsuzuki's heavily accented words were softer and not as clearly enunciated.) But the man's obvious pride in his ability ruled that theory out.
"Ah, are you?" So polite, and so puzzled. "I guess...humans don't usually heal themselves, so...you're not human." It was a logical leap for Tsuzuki; after all, so many things weren't, as he was coming to find out year after year.

He rolled his eyes. "Are you just not paying attention? The next step on the evolutionary ladder. Human evolution."
He pushed himself off the wall and swaggered closer to loom over Tsuzuki, letting his curiosity show on his face. "You're not afraid," he said, softly. "Not even particularly shocked. What have you seen? What can you do?" He cocked his head to one side. "How fast do you heal?"
He can hear that goddamn ticking, and he wants to know, he wants. He doesn't even know what it is, if this guy is even really special, but that doesn't stop the pangs of hunger, so much like lust. Mohinder can go fuck himself.
Then he pulls away and sits back down on the bed with his head in his hands, because this isn't about Mohinder, not really. He's out of control, not thinking, just throwing himself headfirst into hedonism, and that's not the way to get anywhere.

Tsuzuki shook his head, about to argue that humans weren't capable of things like that, but then he remembered humans he'd met that were empaths, pyschics, who could speak to ghosts and were often mad. But still- those were all powers of the mind. No one's mind could affect their body like that, not to make it heal.
He wanted to say as much, but maybe Noah really wasn't human. If he wasn't he didn't know it. Tsuzuki would never, ever tell someone that, not if they didn't know it already, not if they disliked it; flash of fireflies, and cries of 'Monster!", and Tsuzuki would never, ever do that.
Then Sylar pushed away from the wall, and Tsuzuki's eyes widened. Maybe this was why he should have been more careful. Tsuzuki hated telling people what he did, who he was, a messenger of death that made them hate and fear him- he didn't blame them. He didn't want to tell. He laughed instead, nervously, hands palm up and fingers played in a universal gesture of caution, like he was warning Sylar not to be so hasty to assume, or as if he was showing that he was unarmed. What an intense stare this man had! "Oh, no, I was surprised. It's just- healing is surprising but not scary, you know, why would I be afraid?" And then, as if reacting to Sylar's questions, Tsuzuki's eyes widened again. He frowned. "I can't do that. No one ca- I mean, most people can't. Except you." Nervous, he was so very nervous, but hopefully Noah wouldn't be able to tell. He hoped he wasn't babbling. At the very worst, couldn't he just blink out, revert to his spiritual form, become something very much like a ghost again? In that form, only someone with very clear mind powers or near death would be able to see him- oh, Tsuzuki hoped this man wasn't one of those. Of course, in a hospital, there were probably people near death, but Noah couldn't be one of those with enough spiritual awareness or any sort of psychic powers, surely not. Someone with that much control over their own mind was very rare.
(( I don't know about you, but I figure, given all of his abilities, Sylar would totally be that kind of person. ))

((Intuitive Aptitude would probably cover that. It covers a lot of stuff that the show never really expanded on to my satisfaction.))
The poor man's heart was pounding away, shouting objections to its owner's dishonesty. Sylar raised his head and held up his chin with a finger, smiling condescendingly at the babble. When it ends, he speaks, and his voice holds something much like affection.
"Liar," he states. It is not an accusation; it is a fact. Then something occurs to him, causing him to frown thoughtfully. "You thought I wasn't human. Are you not human?"

Tsuzuki frowned at him. "Am not." Sylar touched on something, though- "Y-yes, of course I'm human. What else would I be?"
